is there a way to add gore to a character's body via script? is it some flag that needs to be set?

void SetCreatureGoreLevel(object oCreature, float fGoreLevel)

You could even create a custom creature script and set that on EVENT_TYPE_SPAWN.
As far as I know, fGoreLevel is between 0.0 and 1.0, and it doesn't need to be too high before it gets very bloody.

hmm i tested that function and did nothing. maybe im using it wrong. when i saw that function i assumed it was how much gore would appear when in and after combat.

That function will immediately put gore onto the creature.

Can you paste a compilable script example of how you used it, and where in the toolset you set the script file for the creature, area, or whatever. It worked for me when I used it a while ago.
