Well we all know Morrigan disaproves of just about everything the Warden does, but does she have to be mean to her companions too?
I mean...Morrigan and Leliana have had fought along side each other in most of the battles yet Morrigan refers to Leliana as *that girl*

Morrigan: *I really don't know what you see in that girl*.
Not *I really don't know what you see in Leliana*.

I think those were the words she spoke..but in any event she refers to Leliana as *that girl*

How very friendly of her.

It's only natural for some people to be incompatible with each other. Just because you're fighting alongside each other doesn't mean you have to be nice to each other.

You know, kind of like when you as the Warden hate any of your companions and don't feel the need to be nice to them.

And remember, it's Morrigan we're talking about here. She was raised in the woods by an ancient abomination. Social skills are not her forte.

If it makes you feel any better, she does refer to Leliana by her name when she's proposing the DR (if Leliana is in a romance with the Warden).

Morrigan quetsches a lot early on, but I think that is to establish her character as "lacking in social graces."  If the Warden befriends her, you become her first friend ever.  There is a softer aspect underneath the brittle.  Anyway, I like her sassiness myself.  Leliana is pretty mean to her, too, if they're competing for the Warden's affection.  It's pretty amusing.  Posted Image

I thought it was funny that two attractive women were fighting over my first warden.

Then I realized one was a very dangerous Assassian, and the other a powerful Apostate mage.

That would make for an pretty interesting episode of Springer.

You mean she calls Leliana 'that girl' when confronting you about being with both of them? That's hardly surprising.

She also uses it in the friend dialogue with a Female or Male Warden who has Leliana at Love.

Its not like Leliana or any of the other companions are exactly very nice to Morrigan in return though. Morrigan expects to be treated like crap and *gasp* everyone (minus the Warden potentially) treats her like crap!

This.

Also, she only fights alongside Leliana because you ordered her to, presumably.

Strangely she never complains about this - but she disapproves -5 when you make her go into the Fade to whack Connor. Why? Because you "didn't ask her first" <_<

Well its not helped that Morrigan treats most of them like crap first, so she reaped what she sowed in this case.

Hey, I like having someone mean around. Seriously, you're gathering a group of - what, nine? - random people from around the country - ONE of them is BOUND to be a pain in the *ss, no? She does that very well.

Now that someone brings this up, is there an option to ask her first? I never noticed any option when discussing the Connor situation with her and it was annoying to have to "force" her into the ordeal.

You can say that but she'll still make her comment. At least that's the way it works when you're using Jowan's ritual.

If you use the Circle Mages and say that you need time then she won't get mad, but with the blood ritual it's all for nod.

I just feel bad when she says "I'm your willing slave"... :(

I also think Morrigan's a tad uncomfortible around Leliana. Particularly after Leli went off on how she would give her a make-over.

Agreed. I asked for time to think, and she still kicked up a fuss. And yes, I didn't "command" her to do nuthin'! WE TALKED ABOUT THIS IN CAMP, MORRIGAN. *installs Slap Morrigan mod*

Well knowing how Leliana is around other women I think she wanted to give Morrigan a little bit more than just a make-over if you catch my drift.

I understand why Morrigan is the way she is, but it does get annoying at times, and it's off set by the pathos of her life. I didn't find it as bad as Oghren in Awakening. He's just an a-hole to the others throughout. I found that particularly annoying since he wasn't that way in Origins. Rude, gruff, and occasionally inebriated, yes, but not nasty for the sake of it. In Origins, I thought there was an undercurrent of caring about the others that I didn't find in Awakening. Of course, my PC didn't care as much about them either. That's no reason to be a jerk, though.

With Morrigan, she has clear reasons for her behavior, and grows through the story.

This.

The moment he waved (WAVED, people) to me as soon as I got to him, he may as well have had 'Comic Relief' stamped on his forehead for the rest of the game.
