I thought it was funny that two attractive women were fighting over my first warden.

Then I realized one was a very dangerous Assassian, and the other a powerful Apostate mage.
That would make for an pretty interesting episode of Springer.

It's only natural for some people to be incompatible with each other. Just because you're fighting alongside each other doesn't mean you have to be nice to each other.

You know, kind of like when you as the Warden hate any of your companions and don't feel the need to be nice to them.

And remember, it's Morrigan we're talking about here. She was raised in the woods by an ancient abomination. Social skills are not her forte.

If it makes you feel any better, she does refer to Leliana by her name when she's proposing the DR (if Leliana is in a romance with the Warden).

Agreed, fighting together is for the sake of surviving, they can have nothing else in common otherwise. Another example of a pair fighting along side each other that don't really get along is Arthur and Eames from Inception. They're a part of the same team and have the same goals, but it's revealed through dialouge that they don't get along too well.

Yes there is, I believe. Say you need time to make a decision.

You can say that but she'll still make her comment. At least that's the way it works when you're using Jowan's ritual.

If you use the Circle Mages and say that you need time then she won't get mad, but with the blood ritual it's all for nod.

I just feel bad when she says "I'm your willing slave"... :(

I don't think there's any option to ask her about doing it.  If you're really bothered, don't bring her with you when you agree to do the ritual.  Someone (Teagan, I guess) says "then you will need to go to your camp to get her."  Then you can come back and I don't think there is any approval loss, though it's been a while since I did this so I might be misremembering.

I think the "I'm your willing slave" is cute, though.  She's just joking.  Morri is no one's slave.  I also think her demeanor in the Fade is funny and pretty awesome.

That WAS a nice touch. I hadn't played Mass Effect at that time and I was like "ooh, pre-recorded dialogue!"

...and then I heard DA2 was going to be all like that. Still, 'twas funny. Surprised me at the end when she flat-out refused to deal with the demon though.

Just recently brought her to the Lake Calenhad pier just before hitting the Circle. Normally I just persuade my way across quickly (nor do I usually take Morrigan to the Circle, something tells me that would be bad /alistair) but I decided to let my team convince Carrol to let us cross. I've heard Shale and Sten and found them pretty amusing.

Then I heard Morrigan's and had to step away from the computer I was laughing so hard. Totally mean, totally hilarious and totally Morrigan. After that, Morrigan wins an interweb.

"Shooo, run along and play, or whatever..."

And Morrigan and Carrol... priceless.

That's an interesting tidbit, I'll try it on my next playthrough. It's not so much that I'm bothered by the approval loss (it's very minor), but I just feel it's kind of rude and careless to say "sure, my companion here will take part of this dangerous ritual and face that crazy demon all by herself", without at least asking her first.

The slave comment is cute indeed (and she certainly ain't no one's slave), but it still makes me feel bad...

It's when you do Jowan's blood ritual (sacrificing Isolde) and choose Morrigan as the one to go into the Fade. She says "I notice you do not ask me first, but it doesn't matter since I am your willing slave".

It may not be exactly like that, but it's more or less the same thing.

Leiliana's interaction with Carroll takes second place.

For those that think Morrigan is mean really ought to travel with Morrigan, Zevran and Alistair. I have caught the interaction several times, where Zevran plies her with a lot of compliments and she is nearly speechless and then Zevran loads up the zinger that he conspired with Alistair to see if she would fall for it. This nets the: I hate you both speech. My personal favorite :) Makes up for all the times she gives me disapproval.

That banter is hilarious! It also occurs with Leliana and Oghren, not just Alistair.

If you want to see mean:

Bring Morrigan to Redcliffe

Agree to help everyone

Then break up with her, like I did with my DC.

Took me till the very end of the game to get that approval back. But it was worth it.

If you say to Morrigan *are you jealous* (referring to my original post) she will only scoff.

However, in spite of all what she says and does i do get her as a friend in the end.

The witch of the wilds, cornered and tamed. :)

Well we all know Morrigan disaproves of just about everything the Warden does, but does she have to be mean to her companions too?
I mean...Morrigan and Leliana have had fought along side each other in most of the battles yet Morrigan refers to Leliana as *that girl*

Morrigan: *I really don't know what you see in that girl*.
Not *I really don't know what you see in Leliana*.

I think those were the words she spoke..but in any event she refers to Leliana as *that girl*

How very friendly of her.

She does call her Leliana once. When discussing something very spoilery in Redcliffe Castle. :D

Alistair shares your sentiment.

Alistair: ". . . You should really kick her ass for me. I'd pay to see that fight."

It's about the banter between Zevran and Morrigan, where Zevran manages to soften Morrigan's stance on being praised on her beauty. If Leli, Oghren, or Alistair are in the party, they will accept to have lost a bet to Zevran. If none of them are in the party, Zevran turns to the player and says "there, now you owe me five silvers".

And if you use the modded tent scenes along with a proper body mesh, the result can be quite a sight...

EDIT: Maker, I can't believe I posted that!
