I know this sounds a bit redundant, but I just heard about DA:2, and it seems to me like they're just making a completely unrelated game and slapping the Dragon Age label on the box in order to milk the franchise a bit.
Will some of the questions we asked at the end of Origins be answered? Will we still have the old control system? Will the spirit of Origins be preserved? Will this even BE an RPG? Or will it be a hack and slash button mash with some RPG elements tossed in?
Seriously, I liked my Gray Warden, and I'd like to see what happened to the kid he had with Morrigan.
Is dragon age 2 going to be a dragon age game?

My Warden did not have a child with Morrigan.
Also, he died.

he died as a hero man! They should make a statue of him.

Warden is dealing with the Blight during the time period of DA2, so he/she won't be in the Free Marches. You are in the Free Marches for the most part, so questions from DA:O may be answered later, but not likely in DA2.
As for your other questions in the second paragraph, yes, and it won't be a regular hack n slash like Fable, you'll have your abilities and class system and such. You can start looking at stickies or the interviews on
GameInformer or check out the Gamespot preview, rest of the game sites seem to be too reactionary like some people on these forums.

Yeah. Mine was female.
In any case, no one ever promised that the DA franchise was going to be about the Warden and the Warden only. That's why it's not called Grey Warden: Origins. It's called Dragon Age. Because it is about the Dragon Age of Thedas.
Until the ninth game, and then it turns out the DA is a future past in the DCU.

I'm going to bite my snarky tongue and just say you should look at the stickies in this forum. Particularly the one titled 'What do we know so far?' which is exactly what it says on the tin.

DA2 looks like a redesign of the franchise. Expect more action, simplified controls and dialogue, as well as prettier graphics.
As for the continuation of the original storyline? Nothing has been indicated yet.
