Well Shepard could use Emily's help, at least in making the info public. Although having the Shadow Broker (Liara) at the least as a friend if not as a lover would do the trick as well. Having them both available would make anyone still stupid enough to question what Shepard is saying to be caught with their pants down. That'll teach the turian not to call Shepard delusional.

Aww give Turian Councilor a break. He's obviously too traumatised by Sovereign's attack that he's psychotically denying everything, even though turian military scientist probably confirmed Sovereign wasn't geth built. If he recognises the existence of Reapers, he might go into a complete breakdown.

I agree, she's not someone who would do a smear job on anyone, that's Khalisad's speciality. Besides, i respect the council's privacy enough not to expose their personal secrets. I might mention them in private just to show that i'm not out of my mind but just know something they aren't ready,(or smart enough), to acknowledge. And secondly, tarnishing council's reputation is counterproductive on Shepards cause.

Emily Wong will be in ME3, of that I have no doubt. At the very least on a TV in one of the major hubs talking about news, at the very most involved with a quest.

I know she's not all "the turian councilor has a secret lover" but I'm saying it'd be a nice option for a renegade shepard to use to discredit the council in case they dey the reapers publicly when Shep brings the news forward.

I was wondering about Emily Wong as well. I support a ME3 interview with her.

As for Al Jilani, I smacked that ignorant **** in ME1, I smacked that **** in ME2, and you can be damn sure Iam gonna smack that **** in ME3 given the opportunity.

I always like to think that helping Ms. Wong in ME1 is what gets her the job as anchorwoman in ME2. I know she shows up on the news terminals no matter what but it's a nice thought.

I agree Jed. It just won't feel the same if you haven't helped her in ME1, especially when you won't feel disappointed when you can't find her. Not worth it though.

I'm sure Bioware will be able to fit Emily into an interview with Shepard at some point in the game. I'd like it if we meet up with her personally at some point in the game, but it would also be neat if she interviewed us after we defeated the Reapers.

dead thread is dead. I come bringing Andii Mcafee's part of part 2 of the definitive mass effect cast interview on how she recorded Emily:


Andii McAfee (Emily Wong)- For the first Mass Effect game, I showed up and was shown a drawing of Emily Wong, and a brief description of her character. I created a voice and feel for her that we all felt would work. I was given the script with just Emily’s scenes and lines. Nowadays you rarely even get a script. they are so secretive with these video games, they don’t want any leaks. I believe the session was about 2 hours. Then they called more of the mass effect team to make sure they were happy with my character, and that was it! The second game was even faster. Since Emily’s character was established, and she had more of a “formal” sound this time as an established TV news anchor, we blew through the material pretty fast. I recorded some incidental roles as well, and that was the end of my Mass Effect 2 session. Both incredibly fun experiences!
