In what sense did it "not work"?
You need to create the Campaign in the Campaign Editor, then you need to associate the module with the campaign. Then that module and any further modules that are associated will share the campaign resources of all the modules.
I've just been through the process myself and I got it to work... So if you can post what you are doing, and where you are finding the problem, I should be able to help you out...

I created the campaign in the editor, and associated my module. But when I tried to play the campaign, nothing happened when I clicked the "start campaign" button.

Some things to check:
- Did you Add File (if module saved in .mod format) or Add Folder (if module saved in Directory format) - located near bottom of campaign properties.?
- Within campaign's properties, did you add your module's file name to the Starting Module entry (file name without extension)?
- Did you Set Module to Use Selected Campaign?
- Did you save the Campaign?
- Did you save, close then reopen (and save again) the module you associated with the campaign?

How do you set the module to use the selected campaign?

I found an old thread in the old bioware forum with detailed instructions. I followed them and everything appears to be working.
Should I move my entire journal to the campaign journal, or only the entries I want to follow throughout the whole campaign?
What about scripts?
Anything else I should know?

One last question:
Is it common to have no problems when switching from mod to campaign? Once I found the instructions and followed them, everything has worked perfectly the first time through.
It's pretty eerie, really. I've never had this happen before...

Its probably down to personal preference, but If I'm building a Campaign, I only use the Campaign Journal. There may be that odd instance in two modules time when a convo uses a gc_ script that refers back to the quest you thought you'd never need again... I just find it simpler to have them all in one place, and accessible..
But I'm a trifle scatterbrained and having two folders doing the same thin would confuse me

When you use the script gc_journal_entry, does it check only the module journal, or does it check both the module and campaign jouranls?

Both, but wll only check the module journal entreies of the module that is loaded while the campaign is in play. So if you do a journal based quest in the "module a" part of the campaign you can't check its status while the game is running module b or c etc when the campaign is in play.
