I started thinking after Kasumi said she liked Jacob that what if squad members you didnt romance started having relationships with each other. Ex. you dont romance Miranda or Jacob, They forgive each other and become a couple. Or Garrus likes Tali and they come together. I dont know it make the game feel like its not all centered around you. Thoughts abouts. Or you can tell me who you think would make a good couple!

I actually mentioned this concept in a different thread earlier today. Maybe you could diabolically scheme and manipulate the relationships as well. If you do it just right, BOOM. Wrex+Legion.

Eh...yes and no. Yes, provided it doesn't happen until you pick your respective LI. And aside from that it shouldn't be anything but minor. But this idea does seem to borderline heading into a dating sim.

I certainly think it would be more realistic. You could even be a hypocritical douchebag and tell your subordinates that they shouldn't be having relationships with one another only to swoop in and romance the desired article yourself.

Unless by the end of the game there would be a mutiny or... riot aboard with Shep being the only one left alive.

Good idea. Imagine like in ME1 were the two love interests confront you and you have to choose. Only its an NPC choosing Shep or Jacob.



If you havent played your cards right Shep could lose out.

While it may seem like a good idea, it would just mess things up. Kasumi has a crush on Jacob, Kelly has a crush on Thane (sort of), but it's not going to get past that. Also in ME1, if you don't romance them, there is a hint that Ashley and Kaidan have something going.

Well in Mass Effect 1 if you didn't show any interest to either Ashley or Kaidan early on there are little subtle hints that they might actually be forming their own romantic relationship (don't want to think about that though for I get insanely jealous... I am so nerdy), so I think it's not hard to imagine that the same could happen in Mass Effect 2.

Maybe Tali and Garrus though they seem more like brother and sister which is weird so perhaps Jacob and Miranda or Thane and Samara. Garrus and Jack?

That could get ugly and could potentially distract from the story. Don't get me wrong - I like the idea and would really like to see squadmates interact with each other more, but having them hook up might lead to some awkward messes (figuratively).



It's something that could go into a "R&R" DLC pack - Normandy is in drydock for repairs and service after getting knocked around at the Collector Base, and the crew has a few weeks to relax and chill out. What happens on Illium stays on Illium... or does it?

To be honest, I like the idea. Male Shep was too much of a pimp in ME2. Just about all of the ladies who knew a little about him wanted him (especially Shiala lol ) It would be nice to see the team interact with one another, even if for a friendship. Any interaction between them would be awesome.

This is most defiantly an interesting idea. But I really feel it would come down to how it was implemented. I mean if we have everyone on the ship forming pairs skipping down the corridors it gets too obtrusive and annoying. But if you had one or two kind of quiet romances going on in the background that could defiantly add to the depth of the story.

...except for the fact Miranda and Jacob already had a pretty bad breakup.  Just sayin'

Kelly has a crush on everyone; so that's nothing new.  Also, I never saw the hint for Ashley and Kaiden being involved.  Must be a FemShep thing I guess...

I don't claim to be an expert on lesbian affairs, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't sexual frustration.  Besides, that wouldn't exactly be a supermodel sandwich now would it?
