There is a quest in Omega where an asari is unsure about her relationship with a krogan, so an asari justicar like Samara would be well suited enough for a krogan relationship
Morinth had a "relationship" with a salarian and a krogan...

Ya if it was a subltle thing like after you reject miranda you walk in on them kissing each other
it would be interesting to see that someone in your squad tried to hit on your LI and you walk in on it
and you could either beat his ass (Fight club style) and he apologizes later or you just say "You should go":bandit:
i don't know but it would be cool, makes the characters feel even more realistic.

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose? Where's the drama without obstacles. Of course, MASS EFFECT isn't a dating sim. In fact, videogames don't seem too interested in human interaction beyond fighting and the other f word. In fact, players don't seem too interested either...KainrycKarr wrote...
Eh...yes and no. Yes, provided it doesn't happen until you pick your respective LI. And aside from that it shouldn't be anything but minor. But this idea does seem to borderline heading into a dating sim.
Of course, the audience didn't know they were interested in watching a space-opera mishmash of HIDDEN FORTRESS and STAGECOACH featuring people in capes fighting with laser swords and talking gibberish about the manipulation of "elan vital" neither. Until a nerdy misanthrope went ahead and made one.
I guess I'm saying some other nerd ought to give it a shot one of these days.

I always found it a bit weird that only Shepard forms relationships around the ship. Especially since in ME2 there are so many humans. We all know humans have sexdrives, a sh*tload of hormones and that sex is a really good stress-release. And surely, Shepard is not the only one who gets stressed on these missions? What bothers me more is that there really isn't enough sex. Having sex once, just before you potentially die doesn't seem like a normal human reaction to disaster.

Or maybe Grunt will show her that HE IS KROGAN!!! And when Shepard enters the room where the "action" takes place, Grunt will say: "We should get behind... stuff"

In ME1 at least all the humans were military. It was like they said at Noveria - if we live through this, I'd like to still have a job. As for ME2...well. Even if you say 'but they're just bunk buddies!' you're going to get emotional baggage, things are complicated enough without adding those sorts of personal tensions.
But yes, a more interaction would be nice. Oh, what I would do for an ME version of the Alistair-Wynn conversation about darning...

Humans always form relationships and emotional attachments, regardless of whether there is sex included. It's what we do. The baggage will always be there. By the by, I don't think anyone will lose their jobs over fraternization just after having saved the galaxy. Especially since in ME3 they will probably neither be Alliance nor Cerberus...
As far as complications go; it'd be more complicated if your soldiers couldn't keep their sh*t together because of things like pent-up stress, sexual frustration, jealousy or hysteria... Humans embody complications.

I think it would be really awesome to see NPCs form a bond with one another. Though it should really only be one pair. You are still on a war ship, not a singles cruise.
Exactly. Let's not turn this into a fanfic...

I don't think there's a real risk of this turning into either. If anyone can successfully create that level of interaction, without making it cheesy, it will be Bioware.
