I don't want any spoilers to the story of overlord, but i was wondering if i should play it before or after the suicide mission? I know you can do both, but chronologically what do you think should be done first, around what time does it make the most sense to play overlord? I've already downloaded it and am up to the loyalty missions.

forgot to say. Is this your first time playing ME2?

Or did you got the last squad member already??? the very last one.

If you dont mind not having the "last" squadie, then do it before the suicide run, has nice upgrades a bit of cash....if you want to take the last squadie though, you gota do it after the last mission.

You also get an extra line of interesting dialogue if you have the extra squad mate in the party when you finish the first part of the mission.

After? Seriously?

I thought it fit more pre-suicide mission, especially if you're a Paragon. Certain dialog indicates that.

why do you guys think it should be played after?

is the reason you guys think i should play it after because of legion?

i thought it would be better to do it before because your doing the mission for cerberus, and if you give the illusive man the middle finger at the end of the suicide mission, overlord sounds a bit pointless (Story wise) but ill listen to you guys

It really doesn't matter. I actually remember reading somewhere that this DLC is meant to be played before the suicide mission, but this is still opinion, no matter who said it. It's your game, play it as you please and see fit. Image IPBImage IPB

Oo ok I didn't want to spoil it. if you already played ME2 at least once.

yes, there is ONE time that Legiong ets ackknowledge within the Overlord DLC... ONCE... and that is really sad.. If you dont mind nto taking him, I would recommend strongly about doing it before, for the very same reason is a bit pointless tog et a cerberus status mission report after you tell the illusive man to go fudge off.

It's the last thing I did before Suicide. (Heretic -> Firewalker -> Stolen Memories - > Finale)

A few last upgrades (including a massive boost to HPs) came in handy on hardcore difficulty.

I'm surprised with the opinions too, I do it just before Horizon and Overlord fits a mission middle game in my opinion.
The outcome, the upgrade you receive and the type of battles indicates that.

Being Paragon/Renegade has nothing to do with it.

I don't understand. What relevance does paragon/renegade have on doing the mission before or after?

It's the dialog at the end of the mission, when talking to Archer -- especially when you choose what to do with David.

I've done both paragon and renegade and didn't notice anything that special. Can someone PM me?

Does not matter. It is a side-mission, it does not affect the main plot.
