I'm sorry but being a Mass Effect-boards Veteran with experience on Developer's statements doesn't mean you have the knowledge to nail down the location of the flaw in this case. Neither do I, but you insisted on your opinion when I posted my theory which I back up on logic, whereas you base your's on a developers statemend regarding a similar case which though has importand differences.

I say this: This doesn't seem to lead anywhere and is far too time-consuming, let's just say it doesn't matter where the flaw is exactly. All we can do is hope for the developers to fix it.

Yes, we can only hope. I honestly just thought everyone knew the problem behind Besieged Base and Conrad by this point. And I don't have the knowledge to nail down anything; I was only saying what I "learned" from the countless threads on the issue. Also, I apologize if I came off as harsh or something.

And one more thing, the save editor doesn't change what ME1 is; it only changes how it is. So if there is a bug in ME1, it won't be fixed by merely altering options from the save editor.

No, you were polite the entire time. It's nice to have a simply normal discussion when you see how in other threads people constantly attack others just because the have a different opinion.

And yeah, even if someone who's not a developer were to try, he would have to look into Mass Effect 2 as well, to see what is being read (or not read) out of the save file, and then correct the mistake. I think we can agree oin this never happening.

Isn't the Conrad Vernor glitch a problem with importing, as even if you use a file editor to switch off either Paragon or Renegade, they both become flagged when you try to play the game?

No they don't both become flagged.  In fact, as an experiment, at the start of a new playthrough, I tried unflagging the Paragon one, leaving the Renegade on, and then imported the altered file.  Strangely, Conrad didn't show up.  The coding there is definitely much screwier than just "Ignores Paragon flag".  It seems like both have to be set for him to appear in the bar.

I wouldn't worry about it as much. Maybe someone in the community has a chip on their shoulder and wants to make a mod to fix it. Crap it would be funny even if the community wanted to fix the conrad verner one as well, but ME I heard is really hard to code.  I'm just stating what I've heard. Image IPB

They probably intended to have two different Conrad missions, but either didn't have time or couldn't think of something silly Conrad would do after paragon outcome. Maybe that could be a game the community could play?

What kind of trouble could a Paragon Conrad Vernor get into?

I HATE The Asara Prostitute so I'm not sad to see her go no matter what you do for her in ME1.

Indeed. Such a lasting impression from a relatively minor character.

It's a pity not all of these showed up in the game!

I'm not sure if this is true.  I've checked and sometimes changed the Conrad-related flags using Gibbed's save game editor, and restarting with changed flags didn't make a difference to the Conrad issue.

Exactly, because it's all in ME1.

I actually remember hearing the one on Saracino being arrested for tax evasion in one of my playthroughs. I'm pretty sure it happened while I was on Omega (from the loudspeaker).

By "restart" you mean "start a new game and import from the altered save", right?  Because otherwise, the changes won't have any effect.

Couldn't have been.  The news that plays over the loudspeakers on Omega is a completely different set of files.  The Galactic News ones only play on the terminals that require you to deliberately activate them.

Actually if you listen to them awhile you'll notice some of the regular Galactic News ones mixed in with the Omega-only ads and announcements.

Hm, weird.  I'll have to check that out. I've never tried just hanging out and letting them play.

I can definitely recall hearing about the Destiny Ascension's victory tour while sauntering around Omega.  The female voice is the same as on the Galactic News reports.

Oh yeah!  I do recall hearing that on Omega.  I'd completely forgotten about it.

Yes, same here. Some of the galactic news from the Citadel can be heard on Omega. Same voice, same words, same everything. If you stay on Omega long enough, you'll notice.

I just went back and noticed a few other Omega news reports. Ships of unknown make, geth migration, Sha'ira rumors, Shepard's mom and the Orizaba, etc. I didn't catch any of the hidden ones from the OP though. The reports from the batarian anchor repeat more frequently than the Galactic News messages.

*Really* not following you on this...  How is "it" all in ME1 if I'm using an ME2 save game editor?

Yes, that's precisely what I meant.  (I considered making this very clear in my initial post, but then chose to hope people would credit me with some competence.)

Well Sha'ira sends you an email like she knew you personally in the second game so presumably the game at least partly recognizes that you completed her quest.

Oh, yeah, it does.  The save file definitely records that you finished the quest.  It even records whether or not you calmed down that Elcor so that the Consort gave you that little Prothan necklace dealie and whether or not you then used it on Eletania.  It's just that the wrong audio is played, for whatever reason.  I.e., maybe they just forgot to add a check, or the wrong value is being used in that check, that sort of thing.

Umm, sorry, but that doesn't make sense.
