Yes it would have been nice to have the correct news reports especially since no one died in the biotic attack on my playthrough and I helped the consort. *sigh*

Keep this thread alive so that Bioware knows that they need to fix alot of stuff, Still pissed that Sirta is closing even after I saved everyone :\\

Chances are the problem is not in ME2, but in ME1. More precisely in the system that recorded your decisions for the import files. It is known that certain actions (like using the Lorik Qui'in and Space Monkey glitches) caused incorrect choice recording. And maybe the system was flawed more fundamentally, so that certain ME1 "choices" are lost forever, but it became evident only when ME2 was finished. This goes to "Conrad paragon-style" too.
Theorectically it can be fixed, but it would require BioWare to announce that ME1 was faulty, build a patch for it and offer players to go back to Eden Prime, just to have a couple of extra news blurbs, and one NPC cameo fixed... At the time when the PS3 release is scheduled... I can't see it coming.

It would still be nice, as a side-project for any of the programmers to embark on during their coffee break or whatnot. I know I would; it just makes sense, because it obviously messes with the continuity of the game when you encounter the Conrad Verner glitch.

Alright, we've had quite a few people claim that the problem is in ME 1 instead of ME 2, but I'm in the "that doesn't make sense" camp. I'll explain why and give an example.
In my playthrough I completed the Sha'ira quest and saved her from having her reputation ruined by General Septimus and the elcor, but in ME 2 I get the news broadcast that claims she's leaving because of bad press. However, I still receive the message from Sha'ira that alludes to the conversation I got after I successfully completed her quest(s). So my question is this: if the problem is in ME1 and the variables there are screwed up then logic would dictate that I shouldn't receive any message alluding to the successful completion of her quest.
Can someone explain this?

Several years dead for Lord Darius?
I'm pretty sure i heard on the Galactic News, the presenter saying 7 years for stuff aswell. Why is that?

No. Notice how it mentions it as possible fallout from the collapse of the Shadow Broker empire, which didn't actually happen? It's part of the original Shadow Broker stuff that was cut and reworked into Lair, in which Liara takes over the SB operation intact, no one the wiser. Also, click link 4 in my sig. You'll learn that Executor Pallin was killed in the geth attack on the Citadel. Only he wasn't: Bailey canonically killed him in Inquisition.

didymos1120, thanks for this thread! It detonated (with me) into this thread.
I kind of hate when companies, like we say in our country, pass the ball to each other to avoid responsability or keep support costs minimal.
What I really hate is not having an official response, be it a screw you (okay, nothing I can really do about it... can I?), or in the form of a patch (yay!).
Oh,
well, I'm going to do what I saw in The Shawshank Redemption: send a
letter every day (instead of the week of the movie) until they finally
assume responsability and give me an official response.
Goodbye!

Why doesn't BioWare release patches for ME1? I know that they're soon onto ME3 things, but that doesn't mean they should just ignore their other games.
