Based on the fact that Hawke is the single most important character in the world of DA and the fact that the world is coming to war, i assume that he/she begun as a champion/hero and sth happened along his journeys to change his mentality (murder or kidnapping of Bethany by the chantry-templars)and turned him into an evil antihero (in combination with the presence of Flemeth, who most probably be presented as a mind-influence character).

Yes I would like our character to become an evil person...Or depending on your choices he either helps you in DA or works against you.

I hope so. I'd like the 'evil' ending to be canon for once.

that will be intriguing, a series of moral choices to shape not only Hawke's personality, but the history of Thedas as well.
Also, "usual suspects" that the game has been several times been compared, has an "evil" ending in a way!

At present, I don't give a flying **** what the plot for DA3 might be, but I can say this: my Hawke will not go through character development outside of my control. Period.
"Evil antihero"... sheesh. My characters are not so weak. It'll take far more than the influence of a murderous old demon and the death of their sister to turn them into cynical douchebags.

Indeed. One thing that will ensure I never buy another DA game, is if they take my heroine and turn her into a villain in order to suit some canonical purpose. Haven't the devs repeatedly stated that there is no 'canon' as far as the DA universe is concerned, though? Only a 'default' status for those who haven't played any previous titles.

Having the world in the "brink of war" doesn't necessarily mean you're evil. It may be that the force Hawke is fighting is the true evil. Maybe the Qunaris are invading and Hawke's rallying nations against it, maybe the Chantry's really up to no good, maybe the blood mages are plotting something. Who knows? It's a tad too early to speculate anything let alone saying Hawke is actually a villain.

Loghain was considered a hero once, and look how that turned out.

I never got how hawke is to become the most powerful person in all of thedas? but that's for the game to explain but hopefully it's not as it sounds cuz my character isn't the power hungry kind. But then again it's hawke not my character
