Lightbulb moment. Use the shield on Tank then use massive AoE damaging spells.

This was an early exploit of the AI...one that I thought Bioware tried to fix by having party members under this spell lose all aggro (so that enemies go off to fight other party memebers) but maybe they never fixed this.

Two Handed Sweep was an attack that often backfired and knocked me back for some reason. I don't know if that is a bug or some big "**** you" from Bioware to those with two handed weapons, but THS gets on my nerves often.

Never happens to me.  Maybe an enemy is using a knockdown of their own at the same time?  BTW, you should have indomitable on, IMO, you never want to be knocked down in a fight and it is worth having indomitable on all the time.

Damn... well, anyhow, what is the most underrated talent in the game? For me it must be Below the belt. At level 19 my rogue is now dealing between 85 and 90 damage for each kick. I've kicked Kolgrim, drakes and what not into oblivion with this talent

What you are describing is  your rogue's normal attack damage.  You'd have done that much by simply attacking without using that talent

But while we're on the subject of rogue talents, I got one:  Dirty fighting.  An instant, non-resistable stun.  And you get it at the start of the game.

One of the best talents for rogues. Also, it can be resisted. The enemy with the heavy hammer in the human noble origin always resist Dirty Fighting.

Nope. I check the index of combat skills from each enemy, nothing of the sort. No shield bash, no pommel strike, no two handed sweep, no nothing. It is a bug, or something else... Either way it's bad.

And yes, my Warden always, ALWAYS has indomitable, never a moment he doesn't. He is a two handed tank, who makes sure all mages are dispatched when the time comes, and if not him, then Alistair does the job just fine as a Templar. My Warden himself is hardly affected as a result, but the same cannot be said for most of the others, IE Alistair, Morrigan, Leliana, Dog.

Me either.  And I've yet to see anyone else report it as a bug.

That's because he's immune--Indomitable, again.

I voted for stonefist. I can't recount all the times it's gotten a werewolf off me, plus I think it is the only ranged knockback in the game.

Just today when I started my character that I plan to import into awakening it helped me in some otherwise ****ty situations with the mad hermit and zathrian because wynne stone fisted them so that I could get to them before CoC and stunlock and kill them.

wow when did that happen, that's one of the worst combat bugs I've heard of.

I use it to start every battle and that definently shouldn't be happening

Perhaps it is just me, apparently Bioware does a splendid job at containing unique and sidious bugs for each game. Many players have certain bugs; other populaces contain whole new animals of bugs. If I am the only one to have a bug which reverses THS on my own Warden (often, not always though) then it IS a personal "FU" to me.
