Heh,

I kind of wish we could get a Farscape game from Bioware. That would be the coolest thing of all.

I doubt people would mind playing a pre-defined protagonist is it was John Crichton

Maybe not for Dragon Age but definitely for Mass Effect.

As long as he calls someone Fluffy or Buckwheat I am in. That show was just too awesome.

The only problem with Ben is the few things I've seen him in he always seems to be doing a variation on Crichton. It was a good character, and I'd LOVE to have a Crichton clone as a companion (Oh yes PLEASE!) but I'm not so sure he'd be able to pull of Hawke.

This. Was excited to hear that he will be on SG-1 but once I actually saw the performance....meeeeeeh.Altough it was probably the character concept. As for other actors...I don't know, hearing the voice of my favorite actors while playing a video game makes me feel strange. The first time I stepped into Killian Darkwater's store in Fallout 1 I was like "Woah, dude! So...where's all your MacGyver gadgets?". I kept avoiding Morrigan as much as possible in DA:O. Never liked Aeryn tbh.

I've never seen farscape. It doesn't look very appealing.

It's pretty cool if you just start watching it. The cultural shock of seeing blue people and hairy people and snail looking people in the very first episode can give you the wrong impression but if you just start watching, it'll be great.

That would be Scorpius. He was a Villian for much of the show but did end up doing some things to help the main character. He's a cross breed between an alien race that look human and a Scarran a reptile sort of looking race that have almost human shaped bodies.

Forget having him voice someone in DA II, just petition bioware to make a Farscape game. ^.^ that would be amazng!

I thought that, too, when it was still showing on TV/cable. I thought "what? another sci-fi show about a bunch of people in a ship? looks weird, too."

Then my friend had me sit down to watch the first episode.

Now I have the DVD box, the mini-series, all 4 visual companion books, and some of the comics (which continue the series)...and I'm aiming to get more soon.  Oh...and then I started watching Stargate, which I probably would never have done had I not seen Farscape. Got stuff for that now, too.

Yeah, if we can't have the cast as voice actors, then a Bioware-made Farscape game would be a decent substitute.

Browder is definitely cool, but c'mon, its all about Scorpy. Wayne Pygram is the man.

I should point out that I had picked up and watched the Farscape series DVD set (and the Mini-Series wrap-up) and watched it this summer. Now I have Farscape withdrawal, which is what prompted me to write the half-joking request.

I think a video-game would be great. Though I have to wonder if an RPG would be the most appropriate form of game--I can't see John and co. "Leveling up". (Plus could you imaging putting Rygel in a typical Bioware party). Plus, some of their adventures are more like "misadventures", almost seems more appropriate for a game akin to the Monkey Island ones.

Your'e right, Yohko. Maybe an action-adventure game would be more appropriate.

The withdrawn Farscape fangirl in me shudders in delight. While you're at it, Bioware, please make a Firefly game as well.

Yeah. Man, if I'd been a fan sooner, I'd probably have gotten more stuff over the years.

BUT I would have had to wait for PKW...and, assuming it gets made, my wait for the promised webisodes would be much longer.  :P

Oh well, what matters is I'm a fan now.

re: Firefly
Ooh. Yeah. I'd like to see a game for that, too (pre-Serenity? Y'know...Wash and Book...). And a decent Stargate game as well. BUT, I'd prefer to see one for Farscape first (that's well made. The Farscape game that was made before didn't look so good...I'll probably get the copy at the local game store just to add to my collection, tho' :D )

/this

Although I would prefer a game set in Farscape universe, but w/ all new characters.

Have Crichton/Aeryn etc... be NPCs.    The story is too complicated in Farscape, give us new characters, run it on a DAO/ME2 modified engine.

Would be awesome.

The PC farscape game is terrible because there was almost no money spent on the development

They totally leveled up during the show. John started out w/ low confidence, few applicable abilities, low respect, low love etc...

Over the course of the show
John
/add dual wielding skill
/improved accuracy
/obtained BadAss trenchcoat +4 stealth, +4 aiming, +5 intimidation

etc..

Aeryn grew as well
/increased empathy +10
/increase detection of mobs
/+10 stealth

I see FS more as a Fallout type of RPG, perks and SPECIAL etc... :wizard:

Still no word on any voice actors/actresses for DA2, right?
