3 If you didn't kill Flemeth in DA; then she took over Morrigans body, but what would happen if she was pregnant with the child from the ritual?

Flemeth would gain no new powers from possessing the OGB. It's the soul that makes it special, not the body.

True but don't forget it was in Flemeth who orginally planned for OGB baby to be conceived, what was she planning to do with the child?:?

According to the tales, from the beginning Flemeth grows up a child, then posses her. I remember Morrigan said to me something like that, Flemeth wants me to reach my potential so that when she posses me she would be more powerful. Possessing her child not just give Flemeth long life span but also some powers according to child's level/power imo. if it is just about life span, what is the point of growing a child by herself. Just kidnap a young mage from the tower and posses her, right?

I think there is more to her possesing a persons body that has a sufficient level of power, because she wouldn't have been that mad due to her Black Grimoir being stolen, since it contains the methods she used in raising her daughters to be more compatiable with her.

All of this is assuming that anything Flemeth told Morrigan or us, or that Morrigan told us, or that the Grimoire said was true. Xanatos gambit, anyone?

I think it would be a shame for the Warden to not be able to participate in the OGB story as it unfolds. The Warden's story wasn't *just* about the Blight. Here's hoping for an expansion that lets this story play out with our Warden instead of Hawke.

Yeah I would really prefer to continue the story of my warden than some guy/gal named Hawke <_< And what about the mage in the "Soliders peak" or whats the name of that place he lived longer than most wardens would be cool if he expanded your life by i dunno forever a undieying warden that would be sweet and you would be a better legend than some guy named Hawke who i just dont give a S**t about

Yeah, it just bothers me that we're done with any substantial Warden stuff. Its like if Star Wars ended with A New Hope and thats all we ever learned about the Jedi. And then the Empire Strikes Back is about some new guy in a distant corner of the galaxy. Meh...
They touched on neat stuff with Avernus and the very fact that if you did the DR, your Warden was the first ever to survive killing an Archdemon- yet it seems we'll never get to see the consequences of that playing as the Warden.

Oh, I dunno about that. I think it is far too interesting of a story for BioWare to let die.

Thats why I'm hoping for one last expansion pack....but hope is a dangerous thing when you're a fan of Morrigan and the Warden it seems....

I think a valid solution would be to have OGB as a young adult in DA3 (in DA2 he would be too young, I believe) - as a possible party member with a relevant sidequest in which he/she has to deal with his origin, and the player can either help or hinder him, and choose to drive him towards good/evil - all this in the world Hawke has helped shaping in DA2. I think it could be an idea to deal with this open, intriguing subplot in a satisfying way without devoting a whole expansion/game to it (which would be ok to me, but I'm not sure they'd do it).

Also, it would be great to talk with him and to hear tales about his parents (whom the player actually knows wellPosted Image) - his legendary father who killed the Archdemon, and his mother who raised him according to her peculiar views of the world.

Players who import a saved games in which they did not perform the ritual will get another party member with a completely different story instead, so they will also get something unique.

Sooo, you won't have an OGB to worry about? But Morrigan is still out there as is Flemeth. The OGB is totally optional, but if you chose to go through with the DR , it should be acknowledged in a serious way going forward just as much as haviing made a Warden go through the US should be acknowledged.

The problem and my concern is that we'll get a mushy middle with the OGB where its not dealt with in any meaningful way- sort of like the ME1 choices carried forward into ME2. But Pedrak's solution could work too...

Either Morrigan will return in DA 3 (whith the Old God-child or not) or Bioware is making an expansion out of it (not DLC). It would be pretty stupid of them not to take advantage of so many people wanting THAT portion of story continued and only delivering a 2 hour game that they can only charge 7-15 dollars. Those are my humble 2 cents... :-)

Oh I agree. Of course, BioWare will likely just make a 2 hour Morrigan DLC and charge $50 dollars for it.....:pinched:

But BioWare likely knows how many players of Origins did the DR and likely could figure out how popular the DR ending is versus the US endings.

Hello everyone, I hear a lot of discussion regarding if Morrigans child from the dark ritual will be in DA2. But no one appears to discuss if the father of the child will have a impact on the story (unless it’s in a post I haven't seen)

I would think this would have affect; considering of the three possibilities:

1 Alistair: Heir to the throne & templar.

2 Loghain: Hero of previous war & father to previous/current queen.

3 Your Warden: Hero who ended the Blight & the Origin Story (A lot of possibilities with this one)

Now regarding Flemeth’s return, we all knew this was going to happen since she was a too powerful character to kill off; as well as her connection to the history of Fereldan. But what about what the possibilities of how she returns?

1 Her dead body some how comes back to life & becomes younger.

2 Some mage approached her dead body and was possessed by her, this seems the most likely possibility if you killed her.

3 If you didn't kill Flemeth in DA; then she took over Morrigans body, but what would happen if she was pregnant with the child from the ritual?

I would welcome people’s opinions regarding these; as well as any info the staff of Bioware is willing to give.

Flemeth is full of deception and mystery. You can't say anything about her. That's why I don't kill her anymore. It is impossible to anticipate what is the right thing to do. You cannot kill her, you cannot get any truths out of her and you can't undo her plans, since you don't even know what her plans are. She is dangerous and unpredictable, that's all we know about her, at this point.

Well you can also get Alistair and Anora married and sacrifice Loghain, or sacrifice Alistair. But I don't see why anyone should slay the Archdemon and get all the fame but myself. So yeah DR is the way to go. Not to mention, I really fell in love with Morrigan, despite her being a selfish, ruthless and dangerous ****.

I'm pretty sure Morrigan had the child so when Flemeth came for her she'd have this option:

[Flemeth] "So child, tried to run from me ehh? Ohh, little girl! That just won't do! Hmmm, what to do with you now I wonder?"

1. Begone witch! I have Cone of Cold, I can keep you stun locked for a whole fight and solo you myself since I am an Arcane Warrior! ****!

2. Awwww ****!

3. [Attack]

4. Wait, I have this baby with the power of a god inside it, posses its body and not mine! I don't want to die!!

5, [Trade]
