VEry very old thing. couldn't find it in search function most likely because this would have bene asked ages ago.

Still no more than a few replies what I am looking for.

Regarding the battle of the Citadel, and the 'arcturus' fleet, coming to "aid" citadel forces, whicever aid might be; Is the 'arcturus' fleet comprised only of cruisers?

Since Joker says that he is sitting on the anduras sectors with the "entire arcturus" fleet"... always wnated to ask if the arcturus fleet is only cromprised of cruisers.

Isn't the arcturus fleet the defense fleet of the greatest alliance relay nexus? which not only connects to alot of alliance space but also to sol?

I seem to recall something about them putting to many dreadnaughts in that one scene, after which they were forced to 'retcon' that model into being a cruiser.

I'll look around to see if I can find it again.

^ yeah I read that post too. The dev said the cutscene guys (left hand) made this awesome cutscene and when the other guys (right hand) saw it, they said (paraphrased of course): "This is awesome! But it doesn't really match w/ the Codex. The ships are firing with what can be said to be missiles, not mass accelerator cannons and the human fleet doesn't have any more than several dreadnoughts." However, it was too late to change it and who really cares, just a minor detail. I'm more pissed over the Destiny Ascension not firing its main gun.

You've seen a dreadnaught it just wasn't Human, actually two if you want to be specific. There is the asari dreadnaught, the Destiny Ascension, and the reaper Sovereign.

As for specifics for the 5th fleet, there has to be a carriers because Alliance fighters follow Joker in the final strike.

Oh dear, I forgot all about this topic. Oh well, I just went to the wiki and came across the post I was looking for quite fast:

"Dirty Little Secrets time. The cruisers in the battle of the Citadel are using a model intended to be an Alliance dreadnought. The cinematics department didn't read the Codexes specifying that humanity only has six, and only uses them for long ranged combat. When we saw shots showing up to 15 "dreadnoughts" on screen at a time, we had to re-designate the model as a cruiser."

Coming from the man who wrote not only Noveria and Ashley, but Thane and most of Legion and EDI as well.

Those aren't missiles, they're torpedoes. When you encounter the first two rachni soldiers on Noveria, in one of the rooms is a codex entry which describes torpedoes which, upon impact, utilize a mass effect field to "tear the target apart" or something like that. Also, in a later cutscene, you get to see them fire their mass accelerators as well as the torpedoes. The bottom barrel is the mass accelerator, the top one is the torpedo launcher.

I never saw any fighters in any of the cutscenes. I've seen the cutscene where Joker nails Sovereign, about nine times. I'll look specifically for them next time I get the chance.

Just because there are fighters doesn't mean there were carriers present.  Here is the codex entry for carriers.  It mentions cruisers carrying fighters.

All races provide their fleets with organic fighter support. Cruisers
fit a handful in the space between the interior pressure hulls and
exterior armor
. Dreadnoughts have a hangar deck within the hull. Humans –
who had only recently "graduated" from surface to space combat – were
the first to build ships wielding fighters as the main armament.
In fleet combat, carriers stay clear of battle, launching
fighters bearing disruptor torpedoes. Fighters are the primary striking
power of the ship; if a carrier enters mass accelerator range of the
enemy, things have gone very wrong.
It is possible to recover and rearm fighters during combat,
though most carriers seal the flight deck and try to stay out of the
way. The flight deck is essentially a corridor through the armor and
into the heart of the vessel. A single well-placed torpedo is enough to
gut a carrier.
Alliance carriers are named after great leaders, artists, and intellectuals from human history.

It's possible to see a few frigates during the battle( nowhere near as beautiful as Normandy, though)

Why not have him in charge man.... if I had the option, I would make Joker the XO... when it comes to the normandy bussines.

Although... he is not a people's person lol.... so yeah. Still I would not have wanted Pressly talking over the com.... not too close to my XO.... weird :P
