Obviously posting here my second playthrough question is completely about my character.
First, I played through Mass Effect 1 and then imported and played through Mass Effect 2.
I want to play through Mass Effect 2 on insane this time around however my original plan was to play as a fem shep and go renegade through most of the game since I have been playing a male shepard. I didn't think about not being able to import my male character into a new female game so now I have questions.
Importing my character in Mass Effect 3 I want to be able to keep that character I have come to know and love. If I play through a second time with my existing character I would at least like to make more renegade decisions but which playthrough will effect my Mass Effect 3 game?
To increase my level and keep my decisions it sounds like I may have to play through the game again making all the same decisions as before to possibly get more of a reward in Mass Effect 3. Not to mention playing on insane with my current level, that would be helpful.
Or
Do I just start a new Mass Effect 2 character and play as a fem shep and not touch my normal character files and wait for Mass Effect 3?
My reasons to play Fem Shep and Renegade is to just add diversity to my second play through since I did complete every quest in the game the first time around. Including all available dlc available at the time.

This is going to be the character I'll play through. Fem Shep is winning the poll by quite a bit.
Here's the code if your interested:

I've read a lot of posts on "second playthrough on Mass Effect 2" and I can't tell if it's better to do NG+ with same character from the first playthrough or start a new game so you can pick a new class and how that decision might have an impact on Mass Effect 3.
Thanks.
Thanks.

X106... when you start a game in ME3 what you're going to see is a list of completed ME2 save games, just like if you've beat ME1 multiple times, you'll see multiple saves representative of each victory.
So the question's really a non-issue, you can play through the game 10x and import all 10 to ME3.

well... hear me out... It's not a non-issue if I would like my higher level character to be imported with the decisions I made the first time around.
I'm trying to make sense but maybe it doesn't. I'm assuming there will be little perks for playing through the game twice but my second play through I'm much angrier
I just don't want the angry to effect the character I portray as being the real Shepard. So the issue is if I just want to import a higher level character with the same plot choices I think I have to make the same plot choices again.
