Some City Elves don't even believe that the Dalish exist. Maybe the ones she spoke to hadn't until they saw her.

 From the enterance to the area, head straight towards the collapsed house that has a fence.
On the other side of the fence there are two city elves that trigger this.

Velana must be in the party I belive when you zone in for this to start.

To be fair those city elves really make a bad impression.

I can't blame Velanna for snapping at them in this case.

I didn't really mind Velanna, but I did find her fairly bland. I figure part of that was because I didn't take her much of anywhere.
I wish I had taken her to Amaranthine for that conversation, though. I kept looking about for elves there but didn't find any (well, except the hunter).

I liked Velanna some what. She was a primary party member for my rogues runs (aka, the only run). Though I did feel there was a lot more that could've been done with her. Her 'companion quest' (like all the others) seemed... rather pointless. Marginal background information (wow, exiled for hating and wanting to attack humans? I'd've never guessed that) with no particular change in her attitude.



Didn't stop me from making her an AW and slapping the Juggernaut set on her though.

Yeah I have to agree the companion quests in Awakening were just awful.



But I loved Velanna though I found it very awkward when she said those city elves disgusted her when my character was one. But yes my character got no approval points that conversation. I wish they could have gave us a little closure on what happened to her sister. Oh & I thought her banter between Nathaniel was cute.

I assumed that Seranni, since she lives no matter what, would be seen in the future.

I wonder why she wasn't with the Architect at the end. What else could she be doing at that point?

I suppose she could be running some manner of errand or operation for him? I don't believe we see the dwarf (Utha?) there, either, so perhaps they are off making preparations for some plan or other. Whatever the reason, I agree that it seems likely we will see her again at some point.

Utha is there with The Architect, if you kill him you have to cut her down as well. It's just that she's really, really weak so any of your companions can kill her without you noticing though usually The Architect's flame spell just barbeques her.

Ah-hah. It's been a while since I finished it, and I didn't recall seeing her there. Is she only there if you fight? If so, that'd explain why I didn't see her, and if not... just poor memory.

Since both the Architect and Utha are there, then, I think it makes sense that Seranni probably wasn't so that she could continue on his work if he died or something to that effect. I doubt that plot thread is just going to disappear.

She confronts Valanna if you have her in the party right inside the nest. Then runs off after talking for a bit. She probably is intending to continue the work, though it remains to be seen if it'll go anyway in BioWare's development department. Rather doubt it'll be even mentioned in DA2.

I too love the City Elf origin as the drama of this story was so well done by Bioware. Based on that origin, I have tried to play my CE close to the RP concept associated with someone who would have to deal with such a terrible event in their lives along with how it would affect how she would view all other human men she would have to deal with.



Anyways.... here are a few shots of my CE Rayne. What do you all think?

It's a retex of the Underworld Armor listed on dragonagenexus.com.  You can download the mod + the retex at the link below.  I think it's the best looking armor mod available.
