It's a giant Ferelden head stealing rat! They're why you don't see heads after decaps, you know.  Head stealing rats just run right in and take them away!  They're very fast.  I'm a biologist.  I know.

Starting early with the top of pages in this thread, it seems...

The Dalish being awesome and scaring wimpy shems!

Okay, good. Maybe you'll be able to answer a question I've had for awhile: why don't they ever take the eyeballs?

Eye jelly.  They don't like the taste.

I loved that part of the origin.  I thought it made the origin start off very interesting.
Now did you prefer killing them or letting them go?

I liked both origins, but I am definitely leaning more to the city elf. I am just glad that Bioware gave the race their own distinct cultures rather than rehash the norm.

I used to always let them go, then they came after the clan anyway. ( as far as I can remember) so the last time I killed them.

And they're not from space. So they don't have a reason to go for the eyes.

Left field: I think I need to look at armors more, some very nice ones in the pics that I never seem to find.

Kara lets them go - in my mind the clan has tried to raise her to be non-judgmental and not hate shems (especially since her father was pro-good relations with humans).  that's not to say taht I might not play a shem-hater in the future, or someone who plays it safe and kills one as a warning.  This is Kara in particular I'm talking about.

I don't remember what my rogue DEF did, but Idun (current PC) said at first they should kill them- just to frighten them a little- then let them go.

Lorain killed one.Because she believed that humans are nasty ,elf hating things. And Tamlen persuided* her. He wanted them dead. And that they stole an elven artifact, angered her. But she let the two alive because, just like the text said, they will not come back unless they would want some arrows through their head.

*Is that correct? Wah,its ,like 2 AM here.

I let them off with a warning.

No point in living up to your evil reputation as a Dalish. Also they were just stupid people who got lost not real threats overall. Although having to move because they said nasty things pissed me off.

That's one thing I cant do, they are just idiots who got lost, not anything important.

I save my evil for the Darkspawn.

Elves? *ears perk up* I love elves. Erm, I'd say why but I can't really pinpoint it. I love the Dalish especially, I want to know more about how they live and the past that they're struggling to recover.

I also have a Payroo art of my Dalish! I love her <3

She's not taking them anymore, but I paid $10 for mine. I think it is $2 extra per additional character?

I wish they had included a Dalish mage origin. So much potential, and the regular mage origin makes me want to jump off the highest building I can find.

Yes, I was rather hoping there would be a Dalish Keeper origin, but unless you get the mod (which I did) there's nothing. Even with it though, it's not fully... fleshed out since everyone treats you like a regular hunter and not a keeper/apprentice keeper and the Circle acts like you're from there.

I will give it this though, my Dalish mage is the farthest I've managed to get with a mage.

 Elves!

Here's my new CE.  She was dressed up here for her wedding, but I haven't been able to figure out how she has still managed to keep her lip gloss and eyeliner on perfectly now that she's out in the wilds.

Haha I feel bad for laughing at that, but I have this urge to get that scene in super slow motion now.

Yukidama, there's a modded Dalish mage origin.  It does work, but there's a few odd moments when people see you as either just Dalish or just a mage.

Here's my Dalish mage Sylphe.

Edited to add:  She's bitter about what happened to her parents, so she killed the shems.

And oops.  I'm blind.  I didn't even notice that Liliandra already posted about the Dalish mage mod.
