I really like that drawing at the top of the page.

Yeah, the expressions can be pretty funny a lot of the times. I'm not sure if I've got any good screenshots like that, though...

I'll see what I can do, since this topic had been kind of quiet for a while.

This screenshot looks to me like Irving is trying to strangle the elf with his huge hand, and the elf is wondering why. I'd wonder why, too. (No, I don't remember the elf's name. He was kind of a failed experiment.)

He's probably got that expression because after this conversation Justice apparently decided he loved him. (That was about the only bug I got. At least it was funny.)

That's the best I've got in that department. Now to try for bad-ass...

So Ariane's cool, then? I was actually just about to ask what people thought of her. (I haven't played Witch Hunt yet. I'm waiting for some sort of fix.) 

I just started a new elf mage, and she's been doing pretty well so far. She only just got to Lothering, though.

I only have one Lenya -is -annoyed-face to offer, since I'm gaming on console (alas)  and caught it by coincidence with my digcam. But well, she does that often, VERY often. You know, Alistair and all that. :P

If I my Dalish Rogue had the option to go off with her after talking to Morrigan, and recovering the book I would of.

I think leaving with Morrigan through the mirror is a very fitting end to a Dalish Warden who romanced her. His story would begin and end with a mirror. ^^

Oh I know, I was just making a statement in general.  There have been a few EP and DLC characters that I wish were romanceable.  It's too bad that every character we have gotten so far couldn't have been in the longer game so they could be even more fleshed out and potential LIs.  (It's Sketch for me...  OK, you can all point and laugh now. ^^)

Well Gaider has said that DLC characters will be in DA2, and for all we know Ariene's tribe comes from the Free Marshes so it's possible.

Yeah Sketch was pretty bland...Tug on the other hand was great but I don't think they've made a bad Dwarven NPC yet.

I liked Sketch's character, he is similar to the way I make some of my elven mages. I just think he needed a bit more fleshing out. That is my main beef with DLC. They are too short to properly introduce new characters in. You can just barely get a start on their personalities, so someone like Sketch who has a quiet demeanor isn't going to get a chance to shine the way someone with a brighter personality like Tug does. Yet in a full game like Origins, people could really learn to love a quieter companion, because you get all of the neat little details and stories into their character. I thought even Awakening was way too short to really get to know the companions. You really need a game the size of Origins to learn a good amount about a companion.

Don't know if anyone caught it, but in one of the PAX podcasts David Gaider said that Nature of the Beast was his favorite quest in the game.  He said it came to him from the image of the werewolves saying goodbye to the Lady.

Speaking of verklemmt...  I love that scene.  It always gets me.

Anyway, I was glad to hear that because I'm really hoping *hoping hoping* that we hear more about Dalish and general elven lore.  It will almost make up for the fact that we can't play an elven PC in DA2.  Ok, no it won't, but I will still be pleased if it happens.

While more elvish lore helps, the only thing that would make up to me that I can't play an elf is if we get an awesome elf LI. Zev is cool, but not my type. I'm hoping for someone more my type this time around (also preferably male, but I bet we'll get a female elf LI since we got a male one in the first game ).

I agree.  It's just at the moment an awesome elf LI is really the only thing I can think of that would get me excited about the game at all.  (I'm not excited in the least for it right now.)  As for that burly, Dalish hunk...can I get a hell yeah?! (Despite my male avatars and Morrigan romancing ways, I am a woman. ;) )

As for the werewolves and the Lady of the Forest, I totally cried the first time or two I played that quest.  Since I have played it so many times now it doesn't have the same impact, but it is still a beautiful scene and one of my favorites in the game.

Yeah that's pretty much where I'm at, too.  I'm sure I'll play it- it's kind of inevitable.  LOL  But I won't be happy about paying full price.  We'll see.  Husband is skeptical, too.  It was just a lot easier to sell us a game that was a Baldur's Gate successor and PC-oriented than what we're hearing about DA2, to say nothing of not being able to play an elf.

On elvish matters, I uploaded a video of a "hug Tamlen" mod.  The animation is a bit rough- like, what is going on with the PC's eyes there?!- but it's still sweet.  Tamlen  :wub::wub::wub:

Edit:  What we really need is one of  DahliaLynn's hot kisses for Tamlen!  I think we ought to kidnap her and and tmp7704 and chain them in a basement with just a couple toolset PCs.  LOL

In hindsight I wished there would be a Slap Tamlen mod as well. Life would have been so less painful for my Dalish girl.
