As I play this wonderful game for hours on end I find that I need to quit the game about once every hour and restart it or my loading times, as my party moves from area to area, is horrendously long. My PC just sits there with no HD activity at all, sometimes for several minutes, then suddenly it starts to load the new area. If I quit and restart the game that same load will only be a few seconds long, so this really looks to me like its some kind of memory leak as it gets worse and worse the longer I play without a restart.

Could you please look into this issue? Is anyone else having the same problems?

Thanks for any and all comments.

Just thought I'd mention that I'm having the same experience when playing for a longer time. I also need to restart to get the loading times back to normal.

I know a lot of people have already expressed this concern. From what I have seen from other forum goers it looks like there is a memory leak on the PC versions. PS3 version does the same thing as well after about 4 hours. Mmmm memory leak.

it's a "multicore" leak... AMD's are particularly subject to it, but some intels are also affected... the solution is to set processor affinity to the 2nd core only, the majority of those running single core systems (or processor affinity) are reporting play times of 10+ hours without a slowdown
