As long as it's enjoyable and rich in content/depth I could care less whether it's free or not.

I wish DLC was free -- and rainwater was beer.

Mass Effect 2 was successful, but a long way from a blockbuster like Battlefield or others. If detailed, story-driven games are to survive, they have to do something to keep up their profit margins.

That would be a sticky mess, my friend. Delicious, but sticky.

Is Bioware/EA a profit-driven business?

They've been pretty generous to offer ANY DLC for free.

Yes, lets make the story bridge between ME2 & ME3 free. While were at it, lets also make the story free. So now ME1 and ME2 are free to own. It doesn't make sense. Sure it would be nice if it was free. But just because it bridges part of the main story doesn't mean it is any different. You pay for the game, you pay for the content.

It would be nice if it was free, but Im not going to complain that it wont be.

I just hope it wont be ridiculously expensive.

No.

They should price it and make it well worth the investment.

Depends. Until now... DLC's that we "paid" for, dont have enough to go for themselves. Either short massive shootouts, or long empty landscapes. Maybe they are experiments to nail the bridging DLC's on the head and make them worthwhile.

but with the "garrus armor" screw up being sold.... and even that still not solving the fashion over brains issue.

Would be.... nice the first bridging DLC to be free. So we know what they can do. depending on it, charge normal for all others.

If the bridging DLC's are a mesh of kasumi and overlord.... would not mind paying 5 bucks+/- for em. But if they turn out, either like Kasumi, or like overlord on separate ways... heck no.

No, it shouldn't be free.

It has to be made to the highest possible quality, and for that kind of work, Bioware deserves payment.

Game stories that tie up loose ends and answer questions before ME3 comes out, or takes place in a timeline between ME2 and ME3.

To connect the stories of Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3; basically, it's what happens in between.

They are not doing 4 games of ME. They are sticking to a trilogy although I hope bioware changes their mind.

Instead of an expansion, they are making DLC's to bridge the story gap between the games..... very.... risky... doubt they'll succeed unless they figure out a way to add hub worlds.

Hopefulyl they still do an expansion instead... my hardrive can't take much more downloads...

No,  the Commander Shepard vs. The Reaper Horde storyline is a trilogy.  They've already said more ME games are most likely going to happen.  They'll just have a different main plot.

That's not the issue. Of course people would like a high-quality, story-heavy DLC with a full cast of voice actors and all sorts of nifty new gameplay or weapons or whatever that will set up the plot of ME3 in proper fashion.  To expect that to happen however is just plain silly.  To declare that's how it "ought" to be is even sillier.

I think ME 3 should be free...

Except that would be suicidal financially.

I know, it hit me just now. I typo'd twice.

Meant to put Lorik, I put Chellick. Then I went to correct it and put Pallin.

No it shouldnt. Bioware makes great games and deserves the money, plus the more money they get the better games they can make

I'm fine paying for such DLC, I just don't like paying for guns or experience packs, stuff like that should be a bonus of the the Cerberus network thing.

Making DLC costs lots of time and money, especially for voice acting. How would you like it if you spent thousands of dollars and hours of work making something and then released it for free ?

Everyone would want  it to be free, but it shouldn't  be free
