So I just figured out how to create my first module and run it in Dragon Age. Yay! \\\\o/

But now I want to start adding my own content. But unfortunately I am lost when it comes to this part of the process.

So I want to create a level that takes place in a mountain region and I will be needing some snow and mountain textures. Fortunately the game already has these textures. Unfortunately I have no idea how to use them in the level editor. I cant seem to figure out how to import them into the toolset and create my own material with them either.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Ok I figured it out with some trial and error. Scratch that. A lot of trial and error.

It appears I haven't gotten down the fact that you have to post everything you do to local in order to use it within the other editors.

So I posted my new palette object in the material editor and created a new material in the terrain mesh palette of the level editor and found my newly posted texture in the core game resources folder you open when adding a new texture in the "New Material" object properties.

There are some ready-made textures.

More generally, the wiki tutorial on the level editor is helpful.

Thanks Proleric1. I new about all the ready-made textures already but for some reason while I was in the exterior level editor and trying to add a new material to my terrain mesh palette, whatever texture i would try to add wouldn't show up in my material palette when I try to paint it onto my terrain.

So when I reposted the snow texture in the material editor, magically, everything started to work properly in the level editor. It's wierd. The toolset seems to get confused a lot. Hehe. Oh well, all is good now.
