Humans, Asari , Salarians hell every race is linked together in this .We will defend to the death their native soil, aiding each other like good comrades to the utmost of their strength. Even though large tracts of space and many old and famous States have fallen and more may fall into the grip of the reapers ... but we shall not flag or fail. i think the encouragement speech helps you get the no man left behind thing too (especially if you did the suicide mission right away, after your crew was captured)
