We are as a race tougher than humans, provided with much better medicines and healing and through our focused pursuit of excellence stay fitter all our lives.
We are not starved, worked to death and beaten like the peasant slaves of your feudal systems who live and die by the whim of idle spoiled "nobles", who have grown fat on the strength of their ancestors and the oppression of their fellow beings.
To live in Par Vollen is to experience life as it should be according to Kosluns vision.
Thought for the day: Through the Qun we are made strong, through the Qun we will conquer all and with the strength of all directed by the Qun a paradise shall be wrought.
Anaan esaam Qun.

So are they really based on Seljuk Turks?
No. Not even similar.

really hate the qunari, they're so full of themselves, they feel justified in killing because they think their way of life is the best and don't have any problem forcing it to others they think they are good people but they are evil,
how would you feel if people you let live in your town after their boat crashes, took over and killed people for not joining their way of life and still claiming to save you?
in dao the more i got to know sten the more i hated him (i admit i didn't finish his story), in my next run i'll live him in his cage
i'm not against qunari returning, they're a part of da culture and must come back, but i can't consider them good
their design were great in da2, but they should have remains humans

I'm not talking about sex scenes. Romancing a Qunari would be interesting because of their different culture and way of life. And when one is hot I wouldn't regret romancing her.

Personally, I view the Qunari as a negative utopia. Totalitarianism is too high a price to pay for anything. Even an end to poverty and economic class discrimination.
Playing devil's advocate:
Taking into account their love of efficiency and division of labour (roles), it seems to me that they would have a lot more free time than our society and not be encouraged to consume as we are. The reason we work so many hours is that our ultimate employers can't get enough (greed, if you like), this doesn't exist where there is no need for it.
Their regime isn't completely totalitarianist because "they are free to choose within their roles".
It is very difficult for us to understand whether this would be good or bad, fun or not. I don't necessarily see this as a negative utopia (it's called a dystopia), as you do.

Do the Qunari have scientists? Is there literally a place in the Qun where they attempt to discern the unknowing? or are they much too focused on the present to ask such questions. Really, aren't the Qunari not the least bit curious of the world?
It would appear that they are. The whole reason Sten was sent to Ferelden was to investigate what the Blight was, iirc.

1. How would a saarebas that never grew horns wear his mask?(I looks like the mask is kept on by hanging it on a strand of cloth that's wrapped around the horns. In some drawings it seems to go around the ears too, but i doubt ears would be strong enough to support this heavy-looking mask.)
2. What is the mask for? is it symbolic?
3. Is the mask made of gold or bronze?(It looks like gold, but gold is bad for armor)
4. Does the process of growing your horns hurt? (I'd imagine that in the younger stages it grows through the skin. kind of like teething, I guess)
5. Are there hair colors for qunari other than white?
6. Does a female saarebas fight along side the other saarebas or just heal people?

2. Don't know, but I imagine it helps "de-humanize" the saarebas to the other qunari.
3. Don't know. I imagine it's bronze, as gold is rather heavy.
4. Don't know.
5. The Arishok had blonde hair, actually.
6. All saarebas are treated the same, I believe. I know that the qunari hold rigidly to certain gender roles, but being a mage supercedes all other considerations within the Qun. it doesn't matter what else you are - a saarebas is a saarebas.

Just to weigh in, they definitely have scientists, but that role falls under the Ariqun, or the 'priesthood'. It's not exactly what we would call and understand as a priest, but there you have it. Sten was not a scientist. But the question came to his Arishok and it was relevant to his role to learn about the Blight and the darkspawn. Actual Qunari scientists would research technology and presumably anything that would help improve the living standards of the people. It's how they have cannons and gunpowder, and far superior sanitation to the rest of Thedas resulting in a slightly higher life expectancy.
EDIT for a few spelling errors. (On my tablet)

They're based on the Ottoman Turks. Think "Qurani".
