Im running ME2 (from a disk) with the latest patch.
I have XP SP3,
nvidia 8600GTM 512mb, 2 gbRAM, intel 2.00 ghz C2D T7250, latest Direct
x version, basically everything up to date.
I looked through the forum but couldnt find anything that adressed my problem.
heres my problem:
So
every now and then, mostly after I do a mission, cutscene and the menu
screens, as well as loadout and research/private terminal screens has
strange flickering black bars running down the screen. I thought it
could be the graphics drivers, but Im up to date with the latest, so I
dont think its that.
The problem also makes it so its hard to
select anything, like talk to characters or open doors. If i save and
restart game, it goes away and its fine for a while, but its annoying
to do that.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
flickering bars with ME2

nVIDIA drivers are so bad, the newer ones just make new problems. Find and use the old driver that actually works in the game for that card.
I can't tell you what drivers I was using in the PCs in my family room before the season turned too hot to use the west end of the house; there is an 8800 GT in one of them, and it just might still have (or have once again) the BFG video driver from the original CD. The 9800 GT is still new (to me, at least), and I don't recall whether I checked this game with the PC that now has that card (previously an X1950 Pro, I believe).

Ok, any suggestions on ones that work? Trial-and-error isnt exactly so appealing for me right now.

Also, I was wrong, I was using an older version of my graphics card. Im going to update and see what happens.
EDIT: i updated it, and now it works fine, no problems, so far.
