Not one Blight but two?

But DAO already touched on the Blights so things need a new spin. As we know when one of the 'Old Gods' is woken a blight begins. What if two old gods were found and woken at the same time? Two Archdemons raging the lands?
Then you have the mother of all Blights going down where all nations need to be rallied. This possibly under Hawke in DA2 and in future DA installments you get back to the Grey Wardens.

Theres no "ancient evil" in this game. Probably more about its nations politics and such?
Dragon Age 2 just gave me a Fable 3 vibe...If we become mayor of a town then start running around with our Romance partner while holding hands, I am so bailing.

There's an ancient evil in Fable 3.

Two would be redundant.

Even an Elven rebellion might be a possibility to be sided with or opposed.

No Blights, but the Qunari will be chief threat. And the Anti-apostate-federation will be the antagonists or allies according to your choice I think.... It is made as much clear actually.

Where did you hear that?

In honesty I did not hear it. It is a speculation as much in line with 2 blights hypothesis. I am quite assured of it though by the cosmetic changes in Qunari made that they will be making a serious appearance..... But I agree that I can be utterly wrong...

I'm hoping we only see darkspawn when escaping from Lothering and in obligatory deeproads quest.

That could be really cool though! Lol, really, all because of Sten? I think it'd be awesome.

Sten could have been an advance scout who was sent to find out:
What was the Blight? And How much it had weakened Thedas.
He as much told us that an attack would happen in HIS lifetime...........

That's such a good idea. I think it'd make a killer story line.

Im sure Bioware arnt done with Darkspawn and Blights. Hawke from what we know so far almost brings the nations of Thedas to war. If another Blight begins towards the end of the game then that would have significant ramifications. Hence his inquisition.

My theory is that an Old God could awake even without Darkspawn. So it might be we don't see any more Blights as such. Only stray Darkspawn. If one Old God wasn't awaken by Darkspawn, but a powerful mage, ie. Morrigan or Flemeth, then it would probably not turn into an Archdemon, and probably it would like to awake the last one as well.
So I don't see it as set into stone that we have to wait 400 years for the next Blight and again 400 to the last. They even could be awake already, just hiding or plotting. There has to be a better reason for the Dragon Age to be named that aside from some dragon sightings over the Frostback Mountains. Maybe it is the return of the Old Gods and their kin.

Or you could be right. Hawke, Champion of Kirkwall, who stopped the Qunari Invasion single-handedly.

Though given the wave of "IWantToAlwaysPlayMyWardenItis", I can see why BioWare might be loathe to ever return to the Blights.
The idea of two Archdemons arising at the same time is really intriguing, though. It's tempting to assume that it would be more hinderance than help to the darkspawn, of course, given you'd have two powerful "divine" consciousnesses competing for control of the horde.
If they arose on opposite ends of Thedas, however, that might not matter... and a case could be made for them being two separate Blights occuring at once.

Considering the changes to the Qunari, it does look like they'll be playing an important role.
As far as I know (although I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong) Elves and dwarves are getting "updated" looks too. It just hasn't been revealed yet.
