Hi there,

A short couple of questions here.

I'm just playing DA on nightmare for like 3 days now.

I created a mage elf but I am not very content with some spells that I have choosen.

So people, is it possible to unlearn your talents and spells in game?
If it is possible, where or how can it be done.

Thanks for the help!

It also isn't X-Wing Vs Tie Fighter.. since were now done spouting off random games its not...

Yeah, no way that i am aware of to do so short of attempting to figure out the correct command console commands. As a warrior type i had no issues but as a mage i do wish such an option was available, maybe as some DLC in the future.

Such is why you think twice, and act once when it comes to assigning points.

I've found very few spells useless. Although, I felt kinda weak in the beginning of the game but I'm pretty sure that's because of a low mana pool. I suggest you keep playing and find out how to benefit from the spells you've chosen. At the end of the game there was still no spell I didn't use. Only spells that I used less than others.

save first. then assign points... that's the beauty of multiple saves.

Personally i've found some spells are notably more useful then others, and a handful i don't use anymore at all.

Could just be difference in play style i suppose, still given the choice i likely would have gone with more primal, less entropy. Mass paralysis for instance while useful, has a relatively long casting time when compared to sleep, or cone of cold, both of which can be combo'd, (Nightmare and Shatter respectively,) while in as far as i've seen mass paralysis can not.

More often then not normal paralysis is more useful in holding particularly tough foes and force field is far more effective at taking bosses out of action while you kill its minions. (and again, force field has a combo available.)

As to waiting to spend points, or making back up saves to revert to... meh, the former doesn't solve anything and the latter would result in a lot of back tracking.

The game offers the perfect reasoning behind allowing such a thing anyway with the concept of a desire demon, or sloth demon, etc, could be a potentially very tempting trade to offer from one late in the game, a chance to do it all over again in return for something...

Yeah...the game even marks down notable combos, like shatter. Kinda leads you along on a rope as to what skills you should pick.

My only discontent with the game was that you really miss out on the locked chest/doors, I really liked when I was in the fade with the gollem form and I could bash down doors with a giant rock, that was the best part for me,

I'm happy I went through the game as a warrior first, I bought the ranger spec class book so it'll be unlocked when I do my elf ranger.
