Every time I reposition the final piece of armor plating, in the lab,  to complete the square or rectangle, the game crashes on me. It has done that three time in a row now. Does anyone know why?

I don't. But maybe others discovered why and included the answer in one of the several previous threads about your question. Did you think of using Search? Hardly anyone drops in here, so waiting on anything is probably going to take days, you know. It will help, of course, to spell it the same way as the majority have done.

Anyone who is knowingly an atrociously bad speller needs to WRITE DOWN what they plan to look for:  

"Your search for « jarrahe » returned 23 result/s."

Of course there's not.  Unless someone else with a penchant for bad spelling made the same error.
