After just installing patch 1.04 I can no longer load any of my old save games because the game no longer recognises my authorisations for various DLCs like e.g. Memory Band, Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep et al.

I tried restarting the game several times, as well as logging in and hitting the update button in the Downloadable Content menu.  Neither worked.

This is extremely frustrating :(

Has anyone encountered similar problems and can help me out here? Thanks in advance!

M.

I was able to solve the problem (hopefully permanently) by renaming the "profile.dap" file in the "...\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings" folder, thereby forcing the game to create a new one. After logging in to my account, the authorisations are now restored.

Note that any achievements that were not yet uploaded to your online profile will be lost (if they were already uploaded they will be restored once you log in).

I also noticed that the new file is consderably smaller than the old one (33KB vs 56 KB). But other than the possible achievement problem, I could not detect anything else missing from the game.

p.s.: noticed some minor inconsistencies: my orleasian warden suddenly had his helmet equipped after loading a save game where he didn't wear a helmet and had other sustained abilities activated than he had when the game was saved. however, after saving and reloading, these issues didn't occur again, everything was restored properly after loading.

I was having some of this grief yesterday, with my DLC struggling to authorise. I found that manually updating my points balance in my player profile helped a bit, as did waiting for about a minute before loading my save. Later on in the day I think it got better, as I could load a save up pretty much right away.

Kind of odd, since I didn't have this issue with the 1.03 patch.
