 I know the redesign is going to be minor compared to the Qunari but I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on the matter.

I, personally, would like them to look a tiny bit less human. The elves looked far too much like humans in DA:O. However I would hate them to lose the humanoid factor. Just change small things that link the race together.

I'm hoping for something like this:

No philtrum groove/dimple. Small pupils. Longer ears. Longer neck. 

It's not going to happen, but hey, girl can dream.

No offense but that looks rather ugly to me. But then again I didn't like the looks of the elves in DA:O either. Elves are supposed to be more beautiful than humans and that's my hope for DA2 elves.

I think elves should also be more beautiful than humans. They're magnificent creatures! They, sadly, were not exposed to their full potential in DA:O.

Elves in DA:O looked just like humans - only a little bit smaller. So yeah, I think they need a redesign - nothing crazy, make them a bit less muscular, they don't look too agile, and somehow change the faces to look more subtle - except for Zathrian, I do not recall single elf that actually looks like one.

for me it always seemed like elves were portraid in DA like the jews around WW2 in Germany, but that doesn't make them less beautiful or more ugly just because some didin't like them, I oppose the idea about Picasso-like redesign entirely, the elves have to be beautiful because it is already in the lore of the world of DA, and not because what other settings say about them

I don't understand some people's need for the Elves to be inhumanly beautiful, tall and slender and zomg über archers... that's just the most boring stereotype of fantasy Elves (not to be confused with Tolkien's Elves which are basically just the Supreme Race), whereas Bioware gave us a much more different type that are actually inferior to Humans and Dwarves. Also, I am insanely pleased that there's no Dwarf - Elf hate war going on. It gets tiresome.
I would, however, like it if at least the Dalish could have their own schools of magic/mage class in this sequel.

I think that Bioware (I mean DA team) made an excellent second take on BOTH Tolkien and DnD elves....

Elves being generically peaceful (well.. mostly... I read Silmarillion) and without explicit protection of Eru Illuvatar (as in DnD) would have their @ss handed to them in a fight with Numenors, I think....

Something of that sort seems to have happened in the DA storyline.

I'd just like elven males to be the same height or slightly taller than human females in game. My straight elf males couldn't embark upon any romances in DA:O, because they share my attitude towards height. Same goes for my female humans being unable to get it on with Zevran. He was simply too short.

Am I weird? Probably.

Not sure why...but i think there body will be more like Tali's. Quarian's felt like elves to me...before Dragon age even came out...But Dragon age's elves and Quarian's do seem to be of the same standing in there universes.
