I've been playing neverwinter nights 2 for sometime now. (through countless playthroughs of OC already) and its funny how it is only now I have come accross this gem of a modification for the Official Campaign. A must have for any OC playthrough. So I am sharing this to all. (if you don't have it yet). This works with the final latest updated patch of Neverwinter Nights 2.

The Official Campaign Tools&Fixes (OCT&F) UI modification adds a new node to the player context menu (right click on non-ai player). This new node 'Tools' opens a submenu containing the following commands:

- Party Roster: Pulls up the character selection GUI screen.
- Print Influence: Prints the influence you have on your companions to the message window.
- Print Alignment: Prints your detailed alignment to the message window.
- Bug Fixes: Opens a submenu containing a few bug fixes. See below for more informations.

So, it creates a shortcut to a couple of essential console commands? (If I'm crafting in the basement of the Keep, I see *no* reason to go out to the fields to swap spellcasters... especially if they are hanging around the library!)

But why would you need a print-out of your alignment? Just a click on "c" pulls up the character menu.

Yes exactly, actually it is more useful in Act  2 more especially, since we have to go all the way to the sunken flagon to change companions. In DA:Origins actually you can switch party anytime (as long as the area is not restricted)

I'll have to give you that, actually I just use the easy access to the party roster as well as to check my current influences with my companions, both which are currently unavailable on the OC,  I don't use the other features.

and I am just sharing as I think this might be useful to other poeple especially those who have gotten used to DA2 gameplay. (this helps a little) coz the party roster limitation really annoys me as I find it very much a waste of time to walk all the way to the flagon, to change companions.

Counterpoint: I rather like having to go back to the hangout. That's where my homies are staying. If they were waiting just out of view in the Forest of Doom hanging around waitiing to be swapped in, then why aren't they fighting the orcs with me? That orc chieftan is beating me up and I could use their help!

Instant easy party swap means you never learn that your companions can do anything other than their "function", they are just tools in your toolbelt. The fireballer, the healer, the swordsman. It makes them one dimensional. I find it rather more memorable when all of a sudden my healer guy has to take up a bow, rather than just swap in my archer.

Other side of the gold piece: non story party size restrictions are artificial.

Well depends, you can rpg it as well if you like, you can imagine going back to sunken flagon and returning with another companion, (but fastforwarded) just saves on the walking and area loading times, as they can become tedious.

well I don't really look as the other companions as "healers" "bard" "fireballer and such" but some characters have more fun conversation in some places (like Grobnar in the dwarven scouts area for example.) or Grobnar when you are talking to Deekin, Grobnar when you are in Port Llast talking to the gnomes,

or just plain when you are tired of having neeshka (though personally i do not get tired of neeshka heheh) as always having to be in the party so you can pick locks and disarm traps..

could be useful depends how you use it.
