First, I am very much looking forward to this game. However, I sometimes pass on playing Dragon Age: Origins because I have to move from the couch to a table and chair closer to my TV.

More and more gamers are setting up their rigs on a widescreen HD LCD/LED TV. I can enjoy 42" of Dragon Age, but there is one glaring problem that half of the PC game-makers overlook; font size to screen resolution.

When I set the game's resolution high to enjoy crisp, high-res gaming, the fonts do not scale. The same problem exists on the desktop OS, but there I can choose to scale the fonts up in order to read text at a comfortable distance (beyond a couple feet away from the TV). With Dragon Age, the text is so tiny at high-res, I have to sit 4 feet in front of my TV to read anything, and I do have 20/20 vision still. My wireless keyboard and mouse afford me the comfort of my couch, 10 feet away, with other games (not all, mind you, but there are some that scale the text with the resolution).

The best feature would be an option in-game that allows me to choose the scale of the text, Please, consider this as a feature request.

well I don't use a TV but my eyes start to be bad, so I would like the option to chose a larger font myself

Yes, there are some that do it automatically and very few that let you choose the scale of the fonts (i.e. 100%, 150%, 200%, etc.).

I agree. One of the things that ME2 PC had over DAO was that the font size scaled with the resolution. In DAO everything becomes progressively tinier as you increase the resolution. Thankfully, there is a very well-made mod that fixes this.

Yes, I'm hoping #2 follows suit with they did on Mass Effect 2 in that regard.

Thanks a TON for that tip on the DAO mod. I will be installing that and perhaps playing DAO a little more often now.
