I bought Mass Effect on Friday in an "EA Value Games" package. It's been running fine, apart from a couple of random freezes. This morning I downloaded patch 1.01 and 1.02 and installed them and now the game crashes at the "Press Any Key" screen, telling me that Mass Effect has encountered a problem and needs to close.
