But on the plus side i did save Kelly and i activated Legion after the mission was complete so technically i saved 3/10 of my team but i only really saved 2/9. Anyone else had a high casulty rate like me?
Also would it be possible to play through the final mission again without it auto saving?
Thanks!

Anyways, for it to not Auto-Save, all you need to do is to turn off Auto-Saving in the options.

IIRC, half your crew will automatically die if you haven't upgraded the Normandy at all. Once you've got that out of the way by upgrading the Normandy, it seems to just be down to picking people who specialise in whatever task is at hand (e.g. Tali for the tech task, Jack for the biotic barrier, etc). I think you have to pick someone loyal to escort the non-combat crew back to the Normandy, but apart from that I'm not sure how loyalty plays a role.

Apparently, a war time, mercenary, gruely trained and experienced in guerilla warfare, capable of surviving the assault of a turian frigate, amongst countless of others military operations, on top of being the former founder of the blue suns, not to mention former Alliance military.... has no apparent reasons to be a team leader in ME2. Why is beyond me... but yeah he died on me

First played through, my 2nd team leader died. I admit it.

Because he got his team killed on so many missions?

Actually we only know of him loosing his team once, and he says he lost way to many men when they dropped blind into the Krogan DMZ. But up against the odds he was up against anyone else would have probably died.

Facing overwhelming odds, on a turian frigate and the Krogan DMZ is a miracle he came out alive.
The fact he has life long experience with scrapping the bottomg of the barrel and still come out alive, imagine what he could do with well funded supplies and well trained teammates.
Like JOker said, Zaeed is like me he just takes checks.
It be no better than someone saying "Shepard is not a good team leader, everywhere he goes, no less than a mile gets turned into a molten slag from nuclear fire"... doesn't mean it happens ALL the time. lol
