"Tapestries" are what they are calling their interstitial animations. These are the equivalent of newsreels from the 1940s, although done in a woven tapestry art style. They will update you on the story, and fill in information between missions.

Just want to say that this sounds cool. I just restarted an Origins game last night, and some of the prologue is done in similar flat, stylized-medieval art. It looked great the first time, and I'm pleased to hear there'll be more of it.

Yeah, these should be cool. It gives us a chance to enjoy the artists' work even more than we usually get to.

I loved the animations at the beginning of DA:O. 2D art is so underrated in games nowadays, and it's some of the prettiest stuff out there. The interstitial animations of GoW come to mind too--those were awesome.

I sooo agree! I am glad that they decided to do more of the 2D art. And seeing that video with the new intro makes me even more happy :lol:

This is a castle, and there are many tapestries....but if you are Scottish Lord than I am MICKEY MOUSE!
