Hello everyone!
Recently bought
the game and when trying to install, setup the midway and the following
appears: "Error opening file for writing C: \\ Program Files \\ Mass
Effect \\ saferun.exe." Then we can get an abortion to stop the
installation, Retry to try again or ignore to pass this file. If meth is going
to ignore another mistake like that, and if
clicked again to ignore, the installation ends.
Any solution?

In case of a re-installation delete the previous installation completely incl. directory.



Run Setup as admin under Vista and Win7.

You need help other than a User to User forum such as this one. Go to the EA Help site, instead.

I've done it, but I tried the solutions they gave me and nothing works.

I am Portuguese and I contacted EA Portugal, is that if I contact the English, they can arrange a better solution?

Same here, only I downloaded ME three times and attempting the steps described in the knowledge base on UAC and all. The upsetting thing is that I was given $20 discount code because of my complaint on the Dragon Age : Origins digital download installation failures (on three seperate machines XP,Vista,Win7).



I also noticed that the EADM version that is provided from the web is an older version (6.0.4.124), where the most recent mentioned by EA customer service is 6.0.4.4

I tried all the steps that EA UK gime me, but still not working.

I got it!

The solution is to copy the files from the CD to another PC and then move the files to the PEN, PEN and move to the PC you want to install.

Now just do the setup.
