I start with a question...Is each Cerberus Network code individual to the actual game disc? Im pretty sure its not seeing as how you can DL a code..but I ask anyways because I have no clue wtf is going on with this problem...
I originally rented ME2 and they gave me the card for the CN since I was first to rent...I activated it...and it was worked fine for the entire 8 months since the game came out...Now suddenly out of nowhere for the past 4-5 days I cannot connect to the Cerberus Network at all...and when I start up ME2 it acts as if I have never played before and gives me the Cerberus Network activate prompt...and when I hit connect...it fails to find the EA server...every...single time...
So basically WHAT GIVES...I have a legit code...It worked for MONTHS...Why will it not work now?

Why is it that no one anywhere can shed ANY light on this for me?

It sounds like some data got erased/corrupted. Whether the damaged data was on your 360 or EA account, I don't know. Did you make any changes to any account linked with EA?

Not that I am aware of...Thats why I am so baffled by this...It worked just fine the ENTIRE TIME...now as if for absolutely no reason it doesnt work.

Only thing I can think of right now is it's a screw up on EA's end, in which case you should contact them.

This is starting to anger me greatly...I just talked with support and they could not of been more clueless...I must be the only person in the world with this problem...I have tried everything remotely logical...cleared cache...signed out...restarts...deleted saved game discs...

Have you tried clearing the game cache, deleting the DLC, and then downloading it again? That usually clears up a LOT of problems.
Also, if you are on a different console than the one you purchased from, and you are offline, you will not be able to access the Cerberus Network (or any other downloads not associated with that particular console unit). If this is the problem, and you want to have offline access to your downloads, you'll need to migrate your licenses to your new console.

I solved it...and I must say...this is a very freaking strange thing if this really is the cause....
For an experiment just to see if I could not connect to EA servers with others games I put in NHL10...to no surprise I could not connect to EA servers with that game either...So I was already sure it was not my connection because everything but connecting to EA seeems to work just fine...
I did some searches on internet...xboxlive...all working perfectly...yet no EA games can connect to the servers...I noticed someone in some other forum that came up as a result mention having the problem to someone else who was having it as well...they said something about the TIME the Xbox itself is set on...I went and checked mine and noticed it was 5 minutes ahead of the correct time...I set it back...and that fixed the problem....
I have no idea why...but EA servers will not work if your xbox has the wrong time on it....NO IDEA why this is the case but sure enough right after I corrected the time the issue was resolved.

PHUB88 - I can not THANK YOU enough for this post. I have had the same difficulty for a few weeks with Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age, and NHL10 only. I was just on one site that suggested I delete all save game files and start from scratch which was out of the question completely in my opinion. Then I found this forum and then checked the time on my XBox 360. Five minutes off and when changed all my EA games worked as they used to. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! So many characters worked on and perfected I just could not face deletion!!

You say yours was 5 minutes off? Mine was too...5 minutes ahead of time...Its really strange....It happened to me maybe a week ago...I cant think of anything out of the ordinary either that would of resulted in a time change...I never noticed it until going to check on the system settings.
No problem!...YEAH! I so know the feeling...I was getting pretty POed when even customer support could not help me with this...Its just such an off the wall WEIRD issue ya know...Like who would think that you have to "adjust the time" to affect connecting issues...bizarre if you ask me..
I had tried everything...and I was edging towards dumping my save games as well which would of just totally screwed me all together...Im just surprised the time thing isnt more widely known...It took a heck of a lot of searching to come across that...thank god I did

Mine was also 5 minutes ahead of time exactly. Very strange....... I didnt really mind at first ( prob started about 3-4 weeks ago) since I was into Alan Wake and not playing the EA games for a bit. I could still play ME2 but with Dragon Age I would get a completely blank screen after the could not connect to server message so I couldnt even access the game at all. I was trying to play NHL10 and realized that all three games had problems and finally started to look into what the deal was. I did the whole clean out cache thing and some other easy problem solutions found in different forums but nothing worked until I read your posts earlier today. I posted your easy fix solution on the Dragon Age board too (credit was given to you) because others were having similar problems. You made my day and probably some others too!! Thank the Maker I didn't have to delete anything!! As much as I could play ME2 all day every day I couldnt face loosing my Shephards....I'm just too darn attached to them.

So this is a problem when offline? Because I d/l the Firepower pack yesterday and booted up ME2 with no problem. I loaded up an old save at the collector ship and played through the entire mission with no problem. I went to dinner with the family, came home and booted up ME2 (offline this time) and got a prompt saying my files/saves had been corrupted and ME2 could not access all of my DLC, and to redownload all of the DLC. I have not had the time to try getting back online, but I don't want to play online all of the time. Also, I am on a new XBOX since purchasing the game and some of the DLC, but I am SURE I have migrated all of my licenses. Thanks for any help...

No this problem was just me not being able to connect to the Cerberus Network at all...which I later realized could not connect to any EA server period.
I cant say im %100 sure what your saying...The problem me and flyersavsgirl had was solely an online problem...I could still access the DLC I owned...I just could not get on any EA servers....It never had told me anything was corrupted...I would of guessed yours is a license problem but you said it worked before...

PHub, I gotta thank you as well. I had the exact same problem and the time was exactly 5 minutes ahead. Thats pretty strange that EA's servers only work at the correct time, but oh well. At least it's fixed.

Whats just as weird as EA servers only working on the right time....is all 3 of us had our clocks somehow pushed 5 minutes ahead...totally odd.

I had posted PHub88's time fix solution to some other forums that were discussing the same problem and have found that anyone experiencing this problem has had their XBox time 5 minutes ahead and had to reset back 5 minutes. Very weird that it is 5 minutes for everyone with this problem. It is def. an EA thing since no other games but EA seem to be affected. I agree this is a strange glitch.....

Well all of my stuff still works when I connect to Cerberus network so it must be a licensing problem after I dl the firepower pack... So my next step will be to reinstall all of my DLC. Wish me luck!
