it's the future... of course... 

being fit is probably common... and easy.

working out or bulking up is probably much more fun & easier in the future than current modern day advanced work outs...

Because someone finally decided to say "we are going bankrupt with the damn laz....erm I mean "gentically inclined to obesity" problem, so we gona rewrite the damn human genome to solve our health care apocalypse"



You can't solve... the......... appealing nature of staying still, so geneticist came up with a solution... rewrite so everyone has a faster internal digestive metabolism. They wraped it, sold it and their reason was "this will make you .....better.. smarter...."

:unsure:so being a limited mind called human is smarter? luckily using only 10% of the human brain for conscience, logic, and creativity... it's like you have to live within your SUB-conscience/2nd state of mind/beta-length just to be human...a species that can easily exist in a state of amnesia/paramnesia... 

it's to say if being human itself was a lie pulled over the earth's eyes created by the machines, my lame sarcasm attempt regarding the matrix (as a joke)...

what if we were meant to be green blooded elves or blue smurfs?... what if you only had 3 or 4 fingers instead of 5? why did nature design us to be human? what if our species was to evolved from canines instead of simians? if evolution was factual, and life is all chemical, could it occur elsewhere in the universe with similar settings? what if their sentient species evolved from other predecessors like goat for instance...instead of simian (or canine else where) ?

I understand what your saying... but what does that have to do with being FAT in SPACE???

the risk of becoming fat and the damage to bones weakening over time etc would be obviously one of the first things that would have been fixed to make long stays in space possible, there's a reason the astronauts in the ISS switch over after certain amount of months after all

 being fat is natural. alot of people are fat. you even have common animals, dogs or cats that are fat. 

maybe bioware should include fat people in future Mass Effect titles...

noone cares about what your genetic preconditions are, or the lifestyle. I was just joking about when those preconditions, or lifestyle choices, are used as a reason to mooch of the system.

Besides, Mass Effect is the age of genetic tailoring. If Ashley got in utero treatment for nearsighteness, why not get the same for obesity tendencies.

It might be "natural" but unless those "naturally" large animals, can't pull their weight on the wilderness they wont survive long, they dont have a system to take care of them at the expense of others. In the future it would be very usual to change genetic preconditions before they happen toa void, health problems, and down the road unecesary health expenses.

Like me, I got a genetic precondition for diabetes... that is my "natural" way of my genes... that is not good, so I take care of myself, to not be a burden on others, and so I dont suffer either.

Because Bioware didn't want to go through the trouble of making different character models for other body types, since it strains the memory allocated to each in-game environment and keeps them from being able to cram as much stuff in.



Also, I'm confident that the Systems Alliance is advanced enough that they'd have cured a disease as silly as obesity by this point, at least in their own ranks. Can't speak for all the people left in developing regions on Earth.
