Hmm the thought of seeing an obese shepard saving the galaxy would be funny.

HAHAHAHAHA... I would pay for a DLC, showing shepard in the collector base escape, trying to jump 2 feet and then plumet into the abyss HA. god that would be so worth it.

LMAO, I'd bet he would have a heart attack before he hits the floor though. Or  instead of one person pulling huim up he needs 2. But his weight causes the normandy to lean just slightly lol.

forgot one thing... if he is that heavy.. he probably fell down with whomeber he tried to save from that fall on the reaper fight... so he never had have survived pass that. lol

I can picture it.

Shepard dives to rescue his teammate, X team mate stares in disbelief as the over stuffed armor of 230 lbs comes forth towards him/her. The disbelief is more from dread than relief as the team mate knows he/she wont be safe, he/she knows they will both fall. However noble Shepards intentions were he/she knows his commander wasn't thinking of how to stop his own momentum before the edge.... the edge came closer... closer.... commander grabbed me???

IN disbelief X team mate looks up as teh commander holds dear for his friends life, putting every ounce... which are in abundance, of body strength... specially sugar into that fist... but as the team mate came to realize, the slight slope of the platform was in such an angle that the commander was sliding foward....before long both were falling towards the abyss

The end.:crying:

An overweight Asari would be funny to see.

The real reason for no fat people, children, and female versions of other species is a lack of space.

Genetic engineering, it's discussed at length in the novels, basically any undesired qualities are knocked out of the genepool after many generations, or at birth, by modifying the child in the fetus.

Heck, according to the novels, even cancer no longer exists, that's why TIM smokes so much, there's no risk of it anymore, he enjoys the sensation.

SOmething bugs me though if genetic tailoring can be done... how come addiction can still take effect?.... not sure if that can't just be reversed through genetic therapy? like a disease or something... or ima just out of the ballpark there?

I mean he drinks like there is no 2morrow...so he must get drunk....and being drunk is not good for a manager...also if red sand can addict you.... still alcohol can to?...or he found a way to not even be addicted to any substance while still enjoying the buzz of each..... all the good things with no drawbacks... wow lol

The third novel mentions that medical advances had negated the harmful effects of smoking, so TIM is free to enjoy his habit. The codex also mentions common genetic enhancements given in the womb (to guarantee 20/20 vision, for example). Another enhancement to guarantee ectomorph body traits is not out of the question.

Certain batarians in the game strike me as fatter than others. The Blue Suns recruiter in Afterlife, for example.

The fact these kinds of questions are being asked speaks highly of the game's immersion. I don't recall anyone asking about fattys in Oblivion or in Avatar.

Wait... but by "harmful" it means long term effects like deterioration of cells or addictive conditions from chemical induced mental states?

I am just wondering whether Addiction still is possible, because red sand is addictive... some people seem to be addictive to other drugs, others to alcohol like Harkins etc etc.

I mean from 3rd degree burns, explosions. Latex burning through skin and addering to bones.

Loss of Large muscular tissue leads to ackward skin rebuild. That type of thing.

Because fat people look disgusting maybe? To be fair, this might simply be a restriction in the engine, or it might just be more difficult to model characters of different weights/heights. I think the fact that there are no children is FAR more disturbing, couldn't care less about the lack of fat people.

they dont look disgusting thats going a bit too far man. Volus look cute and they are very chubby... so saying they are disgusting is just a bit... offensive, lets try to keep it nice and tidy :P.

Most likely is just trouble with skins. If Bioware couldn't make Quarian females look different besides colors except for Tali, we can't expect them to make kids or different sized people.

Ment both as a means to say its hard to do... but also as a scolding for Bio.... :P two sided

As an overweight individual myself I find some of the comments in this thread insulting, and i'm willing to bet that at least 3rd of the people writing in these forums are overweight too.

Well, you answered it yourself. Addiction is possible. Long-term effects like emphysema and lung cancer have been eradicated thanks to medical advances.

The stereotypes mostly that we can't run without haveng a heart attack (lol which is just stupid), and that we look "disgusting"? Not everybody needs to look like a freaking supermodel you know. Besides being large just ads to my personality :P.

Besides, speaking of fat me characters I recall that officer Eddie Lang had a pretty chubby face that didn't match his body. And that batarian "ambassador" from galaxy was fat.
