The "silly" answer- Better pills

The actual answer- It's too much money for Bioware to constantly make different body models for all the characters.

I'm pretty sure fat people exist in the whole ME universe, they just can't have them in game because of the limitations.

theres a fat batarian on ME: galaxy (the Ipod game)

There are no fat people because one really really fat guy ate all the other fat people. Then right when the galaxy's only fat guy died of a heart attack, they discovered the cure to fat.

maybe bioware should include fat people in future Mass Effect titles...

Hehe - the irony of you using a politically incorrect term to refer to overweight people while advancing a demand for political correctness on their behalf. :P

I think its safe to say in the future, due to more people wanting to look "good" and "in-shape" and advances in technology that the average human weight has probably dropped by atleast 30 pounds of pure fat, making average humans probably closer to 160, rather than 190 as it is now.

I think 190 is the average 12 year old's weight.... :)  Now that it is state law here for schools to collect BMI information from all students that is where the data is coming from.  You think they poll only adults?  I don't think so.  90% children that are required.

Don't care about fat.

Care a little about children.

But genders! About freakin time we see female salarians, turians, and krogan (maybe just one though, since they're rare and all - not dead).

Oh, I was talking about the console games.  ME: Galaxy was more of cartoon characters so I can see why they could do it there.  That's my fault for not being more specific.

Doesn't that human C-Sec guard near the rapid transit terminals to the C-Sec academy in ME1 count as fat? Either Bioware was too lazy to texture them or its the future and they have things like gene therapy and stuff to make them slim.

Seriously guys, we're hundreds of years into the future here people, I'm sure they figured out how to minimize the amount of fat people in the galaxy, if not "fixed" the problem all together.

Garrus: "Shepard, does this armor make me look fat?"
Shepard: "Sweet Jesus Garrus, take that off before my eyes melt!"
Garrus: ":("

At least that's how it happened in my little world.

It had to be done:

Ah.. yes, 'obesity', we have dismissed that claim.
