Wait did I miss something? How are the reapers going to get to our galaxy if the flagship sovereign, and then harbinger (where did harbinger come from?) were destroyed? I thought the reapers that were in our galaxy were left there to remain dormant, and when the petty life forms reach a decent point in evolution, awaken and activate the mass relay on the citadel? Well, if the reapers built the mass relays, they must have a backup...

Ah, yes, "plan B", the way by which the reapers make it to the galaxy in case their Citadel plan fails. We have dismissed these claims.

Harbinger wasn't destroyed, he's the one leading the invasion.

I dunno, they all seem pretty powerful to me. Sovereign controlled the Geth, Harbinger controlled the Collectors, and now a whole fleet of them are coming? Yeah, we're screwed.

No, that was the Collector General. At the very end Harbinger releases control of him. It's a sort of control behind seven proxies, if you will.

Yes thanks for remininding me... with all the Harbinger failures I had forgotten he was still alive. I kinda forgot (or were we never told?) where Harbinger's physical location is... like is he in the galaxy or with the other reapers?

I don't think they ever say exactly, but my impression was that he is the first one of all those reapers that you see at the end of the game.

LOL I've been wondering that though. If they were trying to make a human reaper, and they supposedly make a new reaper from every race they wipe out, why do they rest of them look the same???

BW hugely dropped the ball on that one. EDI said that reapers take the image of the race used to create them (don't know how she knows that) but all Reapers look the same, all 3,877,765,784,475,765,834,763,975 of them.

Because, er, they don't. Watch the final cenematic again, the "faces" are all different, while the general body structure is the same. This has been discussed about one-bajillion times and is currently assumed that the bulk of the more unique structures are hidden in the more cuttlefishy frame.

It's the fitting, tried and true end to an epic story like this. In the end the fate of the universe rests in our hero's hands. Frankly there's nothing wrong with a predictable ending to me. I'd certainly rather have that than some dark depressing 'grimdark, lulz' ending that a lot of angsty teens seem to want.

Sovereign and Harbinger look different.
As do the rest of the Reapers.
And one, EDI was guessing. And two, the Human Reaper was in an early stage of development, it could be that all reapers start out more in the image of their source material and develop into a tentacled form.
