http://social.biowar...5/index/2917490
but i have some of my own
a) Mini game in which you can fabricate gun or modify its different parts such as firing mechanism, barrel etc. through salvage or manufacture them in ship at the cost of metal also as in real life different metals have different kinds of properties so if we get to choose metal A over metal B heat dissipation of gun will improve and also longer barrel lengths will provide greater accuracy but there is cache not every metal is available in rich amounts so thats how you have to choose which armor or weapon component you need to upgrade. For example you must have seen the movie Ironman there he manufactures the whole exoskeleton from gold and platinum to get desired effect. The existing option in ME2 only satisfies the visual effects part.
1) The idea of the mini game provides option for user to define attributes of weapon like damage, range, accuracy, colour, extra mags. Now for example game engine can create variety of barrels of assault rifle using mathematical model such as aX+bY+cZ =constant ; where a,b,c are constants for particular metal and X,Y,Z are variables length, diameter and volume. so greater length = improved accuracy, greater diameter = higher damage , more volume = more weight hence less ammo carrying capacity.
or high heat capacity if design doesn't have thermal clips.
2)Player should be able to laser tag specific enemy so that guy with Widow sniper rifle or Heavy Weapon should be able to take care of the situation. Another idea in which pistol gets flare modification to call air support on very big targets such as geth colossus if there are more than one.
3)Weapon's cores should be upgradable so that they could provide exploding, incendiary, shock, radiation toxic or armor piercing damage rather than having different ammo types.
4)Grenade mods = proximity , cluster grenade (like the one zaeed has but with different effect like shock or smoke), cluster proximity (turn area into mine field to evade groups of Husks).
1) Jacob is now ex cerberus operative so he should get cerberus armor but there should be material upgrade option along with the extra 2 slots for other upgrades like medical exoskeleton or life support webbing and other for extra shields or tech armor.
2) Grunt is big alien whose size is enough to scare the **** out of other. He should get collapsible shield like the one shadow broker had so that he could charge enemies with it . While playing my Grunt died many times trying to charge into enemy.
3) Powerful biotics like Jack, Samara should be able to upgrade their cybernetic implants to be able to save themselves from incoming missile threats. Same goes for techs. ( There is grenade like thing in halo which created transparent bubble for protection or squad mate should be able to put herself into stasis to survive from heavy mech who is about to crush squad mate to death. )
4) Armor types such as light or heavy should be able to limit NPC or player's acrobatic abilities such leaping into cover or hoping over the obstacle or melee for example NPC can perform certain Hand to Hand combat moves if he is wearing light armor.
5) NPC's with sniper or operative background for example Garrus and Thane should be able clock themselves since the ability to clock does not depend on tech expertise of certain indivisual its a hardware problem.
If possible there should be some options that if u choose stealth over additional armor (which i hope would also provide certain visual effect that guy is armored) guy will loose his CQC abilities.
c) I loved the ME2 combat system and i think they should make it more cinematic like garrus, miranda killing the nearest guy in CQC. Grunt charging enemies with shadow broker shield or punching through geths or grabbing smaller mechs head and bashing him on the wall. Zaeed and Thane disarming enemy taking him hostage with rifle or pistol poping few rounds into the other guy and then killing hostage. or a tech expert sticking a guy with thruster grenade an turning his ass in fireworks.( i saw this thing in Batman : the red hood).

If soldier likes using shotgun, then it should be shown everywhere; if one likes to use charge as vanguard, maybe instead of killing someone with gun, vanguard would use charge.
Items need to come back, modifying armor and weapons with items you buy, find and possibly make is more fun than pressing a button to make ammunation more effective on shields, I loved playing with armor upgrades in ME1, putting some insane health regen on wrex's armor, or slapping 2 of combat exoskeletons on it, so he can go smash stuff.
ME1 exploring failed, that's the fact, but the concept behind it didn't, so why was it scrapped?
Instead of improving it, we have this boring scanning system that after 2 probes you begin to swear at how slow it is; not that driving empty planet that, that looks identical to the last 10 you visited, is any more fun.

better then that, why don't we demand a new patch for ME2 that adds the option to utilize dx 9, dx 10, and even dx 11 an openGL, and fixes the DLC glitches while there at it!

this is the request for a proper fix "O"
and this is Bioware "Wea care" marked as "X":
O-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------XX

Some should be fairly easy to track down tthe source of, ie: Overlord crashing with Legion, while others could be more obscure because it only happens to a handful, like LoTSB skycar chase.

but it needs a new patch for all those DLC related glitches!
I never had any glitches with DLC except a bad load on LotSB. After skycar chase with the spectre limping away, the mercs did not spawn.
Pentium 4 w/ hyperthreading 2.8ghz,2.79 ghz
1 GB DDR2 RAM
1033 MHZ FSB
PNY Nvidia Geforce 210 1GB
Windows 7 build 7600 (compatilility mode of XP SP3)
please note this is on a 19" emerson TV with 1396 x 768 resoloution
All of this is below minmum except the video card, so it is most likely a hardware setting for them.
Only large problem for me has been the pratorians and the reaper core, since Nvidia cards do not deal well with the intense blue.
Also I used legion on overlord and did not have a single crash.

When I played ME2 for the very first time with the very first DLCs (Terminus Weapon and Armor, Zaeed - The Price of Revenge, and the Normandy Crash Site) it came out with (it was going very fine), and the DLCs that came later-on (Firewalker Pack , Cerberus Arc Projector, Cerberus Weapon and Armor, Alternate Appearance Pack 1 (Garrus, Thane, Jack), Kasumi - Stolen Memory, Equalizer Pack, Aegis Pack, Blood Dragon Armor, and Overlord Pack as well as Recon Hood (Dr. Pepper) and Umbra Visor (Dr. Pepper)) were working very fine too , up until the firepower pack and the LOTSB came out and I installed them at the same time a-pond there purchase on the same day (that's when things gone horribly wrong), now after I redid my computer and reinstalled ME2 and installed all the DLCs afterwords, it hasn't worked ever sense for me, without the DLCs ME2 works perfectly for me, but with the DLCs, it's awful, so I'm convinced there is a glitch related to interaction between ME2 and it's DLCs!
It sounds like it may be an activation problem rather than a hardware problem. As it only activated partially perhaps and that is causing for the errors? Gerally Downloadable content is meant for one use and that one use only. also there is the lesson learned wait a few weeks for feedback so bioware can fiz the bugs as their beta testers can't get everything.

why can't they just create a new patch to fix it all???
#145
Posté 22 février 2011 - 07:11
I have already explained why they cant "just create a new patch to fix it all", ranging from lack of information from people who just say they have aproblem, through to unnecessary 3rd party software causing conflicts with the game.
Take the exmaple that I mentioned in the other thread about ASUS software and the weapon locker crash. It works fine without the ASUS software, but crashes with it. Now, is that a problem with ME2, or the ASUS software? If the rigs that were used for QA did not have any ASUS hardware in them, how could Bioware pick up on the fact that ASUS software caused this crash?

What I would love to see in ME3:
1. Decent cutscenes, ME2 was filled with awkward animation (the Liara hugging cutscene springs to mind), dodgy camera angles and strange facial expressions.
2. Better key binds, Mass Effect one had it down perfectly, but it got buggered up in ME2, bring back Space for powers and "E" for interact.
3. More varied assignments. While I liked the planet scanning (the Mako missions were annoying and repetitive), the anomaly missions were all very same-y. Land at facility/crash site/abandoned freighter and fight Blood Pack/Blue Suns/Mechs/Eclipse.
4. Make the Paragon interrupts more interesting. I love playing paragon, but I can't help feel that the paragon interrupts are lackluster in comparison to renegade ones. I'm not saying give us interrupts where we stick what looks like an electric spatula into someone's back (Omega Archangel Renegade interrupt), but remember that we are still badass, we're just a good badass.
5. Sort out some of the Character models. Mainly Miranda, her head just seems too big, keep the facial features, just shrink her head a bit. And sort out Jacob's tombstone teeth, those things are huge.

The main glitch is, starting a DLC mission, saving midways, closing the game, and starting up again, finding that save you just made is nonexistent, tell me you don't have such problems, please make my day.
You can get back to that save if you choose restart mission (not sure if you can) or older save, when you're in the game you can load up the save that was unavailable.

Come to think of it Dragon Age also needs this, or any bioware games for that matter.
