It would be cool if we could explore the Homeworlds for some of the
other races--- such a Palaven, Thessia, Sur'kesh, Kahje, Dekuuna, etc. I
know the main focus is earth, but it would be nice if there was more

I find some of the "stronger" weapons far inferior to their "weaker" versions, assault riffle spread is important as well as accuracy, wide spread riffle needs more ammo, shotguns needs more impact power, the ME2 ones aren't "shotgun" enough, handgun doesn't seem remotely like a handgun, grenade launcher is funny, and missile launcher is like mini heat seeking darts shooter with a very small punch, the only really cool weapon was the collector's beam weapon, I like the addition of machine guns, but ammo powers are a waste, and not enough weapons in overall.
I'm really expecting a lot of content, in fact, BioWare is so fond of DLC they can use that to their advantage in the ME3, aside from main plot they can add plenty DLC missions about Reapers and a lot of action packages if they play it right, romance plot should be rewarding for once, not just some kiss and bye bye, I think Romance plot should be a part of the main plot this time, Shepard losing hope in mankind and the only reason he fights for the Galaxy is because he loves someone and wants that someone to live and stay alive, because he believes in love and what not, but if BioWare is gonna screw up this game I am gonna be so damn disappointed in them I will not even think about Old Republic. A way to fix bugs from the previous mass effect games that will cause obvious problems for Mass Effect 2.
Especially onces that can cause obvious tactical and story line problems. Like preventing a full paragon ending for all 3 mass effect games.
Like one save flag problem with Mass effect 1 about UNC: Besieged Base. Where you always get a failure even though you save every scienitst and get a congradulations by Admeral Hackett for no civilian casualty. It's obvious to cause plot problems for Mass Effect 3 since the Serta foundation company is going to close. It's obvious to me that this is likely going to cause some very big story line point or tactical option for Mass Effect 3 they we won't get because of a stupid bug.
If Mass Effet 3 came with updated patches that came from comments from previous gamers who posted on these forums or other sites about the bugs then it would show a big improvement.
Not to mention offer alot or value for repaly. That 1 bug sort of made a slight bad taste in my mouth for replaying since the effort with to waist.
That's my opinion.

Best way would be to make more characters available, and dispatch teams of 3 on missions you can't personally hold, something like in FFTA but with a team of 3 instead of dispatching 1 member, seeing what is the enemy this time, that would make a bit of more sense, but I can't hope for something like that cuz it would mean deeper and larger story and character development, but I think that would be an awesome part of the game, you take a team of 3 to one place that has a "URGENT" while there are somewhat 2-3 other places that also have an "URGENT" and you can actually do a lot more, another awesome part to this idea would be that once you finish your own (Shepard's) mission, you can switch to the other team and control the team leader and carry out the mission as the controlled Team Leader, but if there are more than one Dispatch teams, you can only do one misison, and the otehr goes automatically, this would make the player think more about equipment and selecting party members, would require more thinking and would make the game a lot more intense I think, add to it mods for weapons and armor, preparation for missions would make a lot more crucial choice, the dispatch mission teams cannot switch mods while out, so even if player would control the Dispatch Team, player cannot switch mods, this would make up for difficulty, and input a lot of surprises and I would be very satisfied with this. The game would automatically become something super awesome in my books, the Player would have larger input into the events, it could blow the minds off the planet if this was implemented, hell, I would be willing to pay a lot for this game if there were dozens of missions like that and a lot more DLC missions, great opportunity I think, damn just thinking about this idea implemented into ME3 makes me wonder that the recruit-able characters count can increase to large numbers, with up to 3 Dispatch missions, having characters from both games back in one place:

#3deeper emotion betwing characters like in DA:O as suddenly you do something that a companion disaproves and they atack you and die trying!! Spoilers of DA:O-->like in the urn of sacred ashes wehre puting the blood in would make wynne and leliana atack you!

final thoughts.-> i want classes to take role in story( the only time shep would be reconized as a biotic in ME 1 would be in a VERY small dialog with Kaidan, and that's it so far)!!!!!!!! many many many guns.. pick up guns from battle to sell or use them; loot enemies to recharge shields, medigel, ammo, and other stuff; a radar; bigger maps; more dynamic fights; more companions, and be able to bring 3 instead of 2 of them to battle and i guess that's all( IGUESS)

you guys made many excellent improvements with me2. if you continue on this path, then me3 should be phenomenal. i only have a few small problems with me2. first, if you have a similar research upgrade system, then it would be nice to not have to re-open research after completing an upgrade. sort of like when you buy items, you do not leave the kiosk every time you purchase an item. also, it would be nice if the research did not cost as many mineral units. that way, we would not have to scan as much, which can get pretty tedious. if you decide to bring back the hammerhead (i hope you don't), it would be nice if it could make higher jumps and have stronger armor. scanning for items in the hammerhead is awkward and currently takes too long. the ability to save should be made available while in the vehicle. if you do have a vehicle, it should be utilized the way it was in 'overlord', primarily as a way to get from one planet site to another rather than having to use it in the entire mission.
i also wish we could have more conversations with the other team members while on the ship. does garrus really need to do that much calibrating? i miss having banter between the teammates like there was in me1, although i do not miss those long elevator rides. the option to toggle the helmet on an off should be brought back as well.
i hope that we get to see some of the alien homeworlds like palaven and thessia, it would also be nice to see female aliens other than asari. it makes sense that we don't see salarian females, but where are the female turians? we should have at least seen a couple of female krogan on tuchanka. you should also show what the quarians look like, both male and female. perhaps kal'reegar and tali could end up together if she doesn't end up with shepard.
finally, i know a lot of people have stated that they want more customizable weapons and armor, which could be good, but please do not go back to the way it was in me1. having to customize everyone's weapons, ammo and armor at the lockers was even more tedious than scanning for minerals in me2. all of the choices and combinations became overwhelming. i suppose i am in the minority, but i prefer thermal clips to overheating. to me, it makes more sense, and the flow of combat is better. perhaps they could hold more ammo like the m-76 revenant. please bring back the locust, cain, and especially the arc projector. i love the arc projector!
keep up the good work that you have been doing. i am REALLY looking forward to me3. thank you for making such a great series!

I dont quite have the time to read through everyone else's comments, so if i repeat.. well then deal with it.
just a few recommendations as i loved both me games the way they were.
1.have a possible coop campaign- be it online or local where two or three friends rely solely on each others skill to accomplish the task at hand. could have this from the start or unlock it by some odd trigger event like beating the game on any given difficulty. and no-- they dont both have to be commander shepard
2. variable zoom on the sniper rifles. i like the power but its harder to see exactly where youre looking unless previously focused..... well apparently you can with specific classes but it should be universal according to the weapon
3.i noticed in mass effect 2 that you could get a new weapon on the first playthrough, i would like to be able to change my decision should i happen to absolutely suck with the weapon i chose the first time.. yeah.. i was really bad with the sniper rifle..
4. how about some of those minigames that the salesman is talking about on the citadel?
5. when using the mass relays, allow use of the right thumbstick to look around the planets and galaxies and zoom in a little. i noticed that i would end up using more fuel than i had going in the wrong direction when the mission couldnt be seen. and its tough to see those little planets around their suns.
6. hows about a crouch and jump button? left thumbstick for crouch(toggle of course- hold for the radar) right thumbstick for jump (if you keep the same button configuration)
7. try putting in a staircase to all decks of the Normandy so we dont have to wait for all the load times in the elevator. i know thats a pain in the arse but still.. one giant model is easier to load than 4 different models.. right?
8. MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL OF MY RECOMMENDATIONS!!!
- have a "create a class" where you can choose your own skills and weapons. i wouldve liked to have gotten all the trophies possible on my first playthrough, seeing as i was a one man death machine. (i love casual play)(insanity is insane.. but im almost done.

Actually here is what I do, main thing is to wait a week or two after the patch release so the majority had their patch and that then clears up most of the bandwitdh. Also with waiting you can get the feedback of other players if if screwed anything up in game, as some patches do.
Now the searching is not that bad I beleive because it is was a pain to find a solution to get passed the reaper IFF mission since my grapfics card would crash the game due to the intense blue lighting and electricity. Gamershell usually is pretty quick about 10 min for a 250mb patch. But overall not a bad idea but should at least be the option to turn it off for peopel like me who prefer to wait to see how people react to the patch,

I'm just lazy, and remembering how Bioware patches don't really fix that much, i'm not really into them anyways, I just patched DA2 and found an interesting bug that wasn't there before, yay for patching

Not a bad idea Melorny it would be cool. I think since they are doing different melee attacks per class it may be possible.

Melee weapons would be welcome as well, but not to over do it, I think a simple melee weapon grafted into a suit wouldn't be a bad thing.

Few ideas some may have been said before, but repitition may make it more likely evenat this late stage.
1)Exploration- really missed the sense that you were exploring the galaxy as in ME 1 , not just some random boxy rooms. While the Mako was annoying, the lack of it was worse. Keep and expand the role of the Hammerhead
2) Weapons CHOICES not options or caluclations . i.e. one gun has more dakka, but can't hit the broad side of a barn. The other can pierce the nipples of a mouse from a klick way, but is as fast as slug on prozac. Let the player choose thier own load out for thier style, rather than there being a crap pistol and a good one. Same goes for upgrades of said guns, rate of fire or damage per shot. Not both.
3) Better Paragon interupts. They were few and far between and never had the same impact (pun minorly intended) as the Renagade ones.
4)Cover. No, I didn't want to vault over into 3 steams of oncoming fire and die. I just wanted to run, hide and heal up.
5)Saving in the Hammerhead
6)Longer missions.
7) Let research count. If I have read/found the codex enteries let me use them in conversation

I already know I won't enjoy the ME3 as much as I hoped I would.

I have a few ideas. Heres some for combat:
Handedness: The player should be able to choose weather their left or right hand is their mainhand.
Close Combat Weaponry:
For one thing they should add a riot shield for use in the left hand. If the player equips it the weapon in the right hand will obviously become one handed and therefore only have half the accuracy balancing out the extra defence of the riot shield when it is used by zooming. This opens up for the use of another major weapon, the cutting laser. Its a hand held plasma torch that can be used in the main hand, and most likely Shepard would find it in a mining colony, that is if he/she doesn't but it in a shop. The Plasma Torch Cutting Laser is a purely melee weapon that can be used to cut through an aponent's shields and immediately only damage their health. These two weapons paired apropriately creates a potentially unique style for serveral classes in unique ways. For instance an adept that pairs a pistol with the riot shield will have better protection from frontal attacks as they reposition themselves for crowd control, a soldier can use the plasma torch as a switch back with their rifle so that in case they get too close to a well fortified enemy they can go stealth and try to slice them down, and finally a vangaurd can get the most use out of these weapons by pairing the riot shield in the left hand with the plasma torch in the right, allowing them to first get close enough to their apponent to use any of their vangaurd skills followed by a serious melee wailing with the torch.
Space Cambat:
The normandy can fly around the space map now, thats cool, but what if occasionally you were attacked by pirates and geth and what not, in a seperate battle mode you could fly the ship in a quick space battle, and if you got close enough to an enemy vessel you could fire some kind of traction line and use it to board the enemy ship and battle them on the inside, so you can strip the ship of parts and sell them or add them to yours ship.

Open Ended Elements:
- Shepard was a Specter, he/she has been used to having a license to kill. How about being able to kill non story npcs at a whim, and having local law enforcement like c-sec deploy to gun you down unless you pay a bribe, or talk them out of arresting you.
- How about some randomized quest sources that replenish c-sec one again being an example, this will help the player continue to increase experience and renegade/paragon points at any point int the story.
- COSMETICS! Its the future! Why the hell not? Come on down to the famous human cosmetics emporium! Get a haircut! Get a nose Job! Get a sex change! Just don't expect us to do anything about your voice box! Whatever your cosmetic needs we have the technology! Or at least they should...
- Love makin'. Don't get me wrong some of those naughty scenes throughout the series are what drive players to make some of the choices they do, but what about some real control over the situations. These scenes happen after struggle through story scenario after scenario, just to get to a single thirty second clip of your character getting busy. However, what if after the final relationship(s) of the game come to their ultimate state, the player can at any time go back and talk their lover into a romp using the paragon or renegade speech choices. Then instead of a pre-rendered scene, the player could have Shepard be in bed with his/her partner (censored from the waist down with bed sheets of coarse) and use the sticks triggers and other buttons to control positions speed and paragon or renegade dirty talk. LOL The player could even gain experience and ren/para points from getting their partner to climax. XD that would be funny and awesome all at the same time.

CO-OP split screen or online 2-4 player drop in co-op. The first player would get control over the story choices and the other players would take on combat control over the other characters that player 1 adds to their squad. However, if you want to go for the gold you can also add story reaction choices for the other characters not only to allow players 2 through 4 to get involved with the story, but to even add an element of surprise and realism in the single player experience, as the potential for unexpected results would always be presented.
