you get it from the Merchant in the City of Amaranthine from Octham the Grocer I think, if I remeber rightly.

Aside from looks, Spellfury is the  most powerful staff in all of Dragon Age.

What about Staff of the Lost??? Although i'm not sure which one is better, Spellfury or the Lost???

Staff of the Magister Lords sold in the Circle shop is my top choice for DAO.

Spellfury has 10 base spellpower and adds +20, with +4 to all elements (+4 to magic giving 4 more spell power) that means the total SP on that staff is 34.



Staff of the Lost on the other hand has 10 base spell power adds an additional +15 spell power but also adds another +10 magic giving a total SP of 35. If you factor the +75 stamina (I think its a typo and gives Mana since mages dont get stamina) thats greater then the +20 mana +4 more willpower would give and the +50% spirit damage boost the damage output on the Staff of the Lost screams past Spellfury.

In the original, the one sold at the Circle is probably the "BiS" All-Around Staff, possibly beaten by that one DLC Staff I forget what it's called...

Unique look but the Lampost is still way underpowered compared to Spellfury and Staff of the Lost.

I use lampost in the winter because it has the best design, and because both the staff of the lost and spellfury make physical damage so they're not that good for the basic attack damage. Besides, it has a +20% cold damage and cold attacks are the ones I use most.

If I'm going to make spirit damage I usually switch to the staff of the lost though (only if the battle is worth it). Against darkspawn and undead I also use call of the inferno.

I found spellfurry to be a waste of money. I guess I'm not a spellpower ****.
