Just ironing out some final wrinkles with my altar. I thought I had some .pwk problems for a few minutes there, but found a solution. Should be able to upload my entry soon.

Okay, my entry's done. I followed the suggestion about shading the altar legs; I also shortened them a bit, since the altar was a little too tall. The download follows Ben's format (model and pwk; dds and tga textures; 2da entry; screenshot).

Thank you. Yes, the lace on the altar cloth has transparency for all the little bits between the lace. (That was a real pain! Smart select couldn't easily distinguish between lace and gaps, so I had to do it by hand.)

Congrats Este, that's easily one of the most beautyfull placeable I've ever seen for NWN. A proof that a model doesn't have to be insanely complicated to fill perfectly it's role =)
I'm not sure I'll be able to finish my submission though, soooo far away from NWN these days :/
Still a few days left!
BTW state your mind in the other thread to choose next month theme please!

Thanks for the kind words, Jez. I do hope we see your cloak and tiara stand finished, as the untextured version looks amazing, but I understand the demands of real life. (Which I sometimes think I should simply call non-NWN life. I mean, it's not as if the game, or the forum in which we discuss it, is part of some alternate universe. Ahem.)

Jez, I hope whatever is currently occupying your time is resolved soon, so you can enjoy yourself. I, along with Estelindis, look forward to seeing your finished product.
Speaking of the Lady Estelindis, I must say that you have done a fantastic job on your altar; I would appreciate having a new altar, but this one will be marvelous to see in use. You, six, Ben, Jez, Zwerkules, JFK, and heck, everybody here have come up with wonderful additions to the builders' arsenal. I thank you all!

about time you wake up Morikahn! XD
We are also waiting Eradrain's Holy Chamber pot, or maybe even a "Chaise d'aisance" more fitting for high ranking priestress (sorry don't know the english word for that).
Also waiting Frith5 submission btw.

I am on vacation and won't be able to finish the swan tub in August.

I dunno if I'll get mine in on time. August sort of sped past and I haven't done nearly any work on it, and school's just started.
On the bright side, enjoy my new signature, with Six as you've never seen him before!

back to work...
so here's a preview of my model. I had to rework the cloak entirely.
It's almost finished beside the tiara I have to rework the texture and uv mapping, and have to fix a texture issue on the cloak. But all in all that's what it will look like:

Next time, i'll choose something less ambitious to do, like a box I think

Wow, that looks fantastic. Seeing that in a cleric's room would automatically impart a lot about the character of this priest. Very nice!
Well, my prayer bench is as done as I can do it, with the time I have available just now. I tried to make the textures a bit better, but I'm still positive they could use a kind hand sometime. Sorry to say, I hadn't the time to produce the 'accessories' I'd wanted to, but I did manage a holy book for the top of the kneeler, as a separate placeable.
Here's an in-game screenshot:

What I need now, is to find a place to upload this package, because I'd rather not submit to the Vault, and rather have it included with the rest in a single Vault entry. Any suggestions? Does the projects page on this site support this kind of thing?
Regards,
JFK

Yes you can upload stuff to projects here. I think inorder to have more then one person able to upload to one you also have to form a group. Not sure about that part.

I couldn't get the files to upload to my Project, repeatedly getting a timeout error. Anyway, here is a link to my entry in August's Challenge:

This was a fun challenge. Nicely done to all involved.

Awesome prayer bench, Frith. And good to see the cloak stand with some textures, Jez. This is really turning out quite well, isn't it? :-)

I didn't follow this thread since it was started and I still don't really have anything relevant to add to it but looking at the screenshots now I'm amazed what great things you can accomplish within a month. All of the presented placeable will be fantastic additions to the pool of NWN Custom Content and I hope they'll be packaged and uploaded to the Vault once they're finished.
Congratulations to all participants and to Jez for initiating this fruitful Challenge! What a splendid idea!

Thanks for the submission JFK, I love it ^^
@Este: well just enough to be of use, but quite far from what I envisionned first XD Ah well... reality is just a let down...
@Olivier: thanks! I agree 8D and yes a handy package with all entries will be submitted to the vault.

Alright, my original idea wasn't working out too well. After showing Six my basic plan, he said too modern. So I scrapped it.
I looked over images of antique desks, and found this one
http://img842.images...ekidneydesk.jpg
I thought it had a feminine feel to it with the curves. I modeled the desk to this shape, adding a sort of scroll case of sorts on the side.
I wont mimic the texture however, as I want it to look very religious. Something along the lines of this

This is the model.

I'm hoping to have it textured and ready to go sometimes Tuesday night.

That looks great, mori. Knew you'd come up with something really cool in the end. Between everyone we've come up with a great set of placeables this month that should come in very handy. I particularly like Frith's lecturn.
Incidentally if anyone does need someone to upload files to I'll happily host them on my area of Tom_Banjo's nwn1cc site.

Great-looking model, Mori - and, judging by the middle photo (which I love), the texture is going to look fabulously ecclesiastical! :-D
