The look of the Qunari. I have a hard time accepting the new look of Qunari, considering all the ones we saw in DAO and DAA were the hornless ones, wouldn't we have heard mention of the horned Qunari or the fact that they come in both varieties in the codex, from a book or from Sten. If the hornless ones were the least common wouldn't we have heard of or seen a horned Qunari. I know nobody has really been to their homeland and there could be a reason why the ones sent to Ferelden were hornless, but if the Qunari invaded, and most of them have horns, humans must have seen some with horns.
The fixed protagonist, I don't have a problem with this decision, as it will bring its own benefits and allow for a different storytelling mechanic, but can I ask how early on did Bioware know they would go this route, and when you considered the pros and cons what pros made you decide to go with the idea.
The change in art direction of the darkspawn is alright with me, because it is established they are pretty much everywhere, and they still look essentially similar to the Ferelden ones. The minor changes in art are also welcome to give DA a more distinctive look.

Two: You expect a written reply from Bioware telling you exactly why they made this decision with a list of pros and cons?
Obviously an important decision like this took many factors into account, none of which I'm sure will be apparent to gamers until we learn more about the game.

Sten and his brothers (The Fade) are the only Qunari in origins or Awakening. The new info says that hornless Qunari are used as enovys to other races, so that would explain why they are hornless.
The others were Tal'Vashoth, former Qunari who abandoned the Qun and are no longer considered Qunari.
The new info also says they tend to cut off their horns after they leave for reasons unknown to outsiders.
It is pretty much "Well, no one ever said this isn't what the bulk of Qunari look like" and it doesn't really contradict anything.

I think a very visable pro is Bethany. I don't think they would have been able to bring in a character's sister as a companion using the Origins system or ajusting her to fit the player's chosen race -- well not if they wanted her to be a real character.
Using a fixed protagonist can make a story more personal.
For example if they did the same thing in DA:3 but used 'City Elf' as the fixed background, then they really could portray racism through the game, rather than the sporadic "Knife-ears can be Grey Wardens?!?!" of Origins.

It makes no sense and so far it is pretty dreadful. I have no problem with the fixed hero, but the fact they have changed the look of a species tells me they changed a lot more.
Well yeah they're changing the look of the game to make it more distinct, and they want to make the different species more distinct, they've already stated this plainly, and IMHO it does make sense.
IMHO this isn't a bad thing, I'd be more concerned about changing the gameplay.

One: Let's please not judge a game's whole art direction based off of some VERY VERY early screenshots. They may turn out to be awesome, they may turn out to be horrible. Let's please wait and see first.

I don't expect anything, I am just interested in hearing from them generally how the decision was made to have a fixed protagonist, and whether it was a long process leading to that decision.
