For Thermal Clips, the M-920 Cain, the M-100 Grenade Launcher, and the Drell:

I can see why the Cain was removed: the way it operates according to this Codex entry is totally different from the current description, which says it's basically just a portable railgun. The Drell one also makes sense:  Kepral's Syndrome being of bacterial origin and incurable is sorta silly. Not sure why the M-100 entry was cut though.

Update:  I totally forgot about the fourth unused entry for thermal clips.  Added it to the beginning, so you don't have to sit through the whole damn thing again if you've already seen it.

Jeez. The Cain and M-100 ones were really badly written. No wonder they were left out.

Actually, I think they got rid of the "bacterial" source because that actually seems curable, while the more vague reason they give as the official reason seems less reversible (soggy lungs?).

Yeah, exactly.  Thane has this one line about the how the finest Hanar medical minds haven't been able to cure it. Make it bacterial and you have to buy into the idea that none of them, over the course of 200 years, could manage to find some nifty future-antibiotic.  That's...absurd.  Make it the result of a fundamental vulnerability in Drell physiology to high humidity environments, however, and it's actually fairly plausible that they've only been able to develop treatments so far.

Oh my god. Somebody needs to compile a list of these hidden unused audio files already.

There's this, Liara's Shadowbroker files (although those'll probably be used soon), alternative dialogue with the Illusive Man (including one where Tali can be recruited right after Freedom's Progress), a cut fight between Grunt and Mordin......what else?

I wish I had an awesome PC that could run this game. :(

You don't need an awesome PC to run this game. Any 300$ PC will do.

Are you serious? I know that there were DLC audio files (for both "Lair of the Shadow Broker" and "Stolen Memories"), but are the other ones real? Especially Grunt and Mordin arguing, which would have been great?

And sorry for saying it, but or the upteenth time - damn that stupid piece of .... Xbox360's hardware limitations that made Mass Effect 2 a linear plot-hole mess...

I'm starting to believe ME2 needs something like the KotOR II Restoration Patch to shine like it should. :?

Why are consoles responsible for everything?

What everything? And why again do I have to explain to another insulted console user the simple truth - Xbox360 players went on a rage storm after the announcement ME2 would use two discs and swapping - surprise, no longer needed! Story is mostly linear and things that were obviously designed and built (check Escael's thread to see how simple SaveGame editing changes the game and unlocks dozens of cutscenes and conversations in different recruitment orders). So yes, this time it is the 360s fault. Good luck butchering Mass Effect 3, too...

Mass Effect 2 still required disk switching and both CDs were filled with data (or so we're told).

It's not like you had to swap the disk a million times I only had to swap it 2 twice once where I first went to Illium and then at the end for the suicide mission what's so hard about opening the tray and putting in the second disk takes less than a minute.

Why are consoles responsible for everything?

PC players(I am neutural, using both PC and my Xbox in near equal portions) are generally frustrated due to the fact that they get neglected by certain developer studios in lieu of making it a PC/multiconsole game. This is normally due to the argument that PC gaming is "dead" which is by no means true as any PC gamer/developer will tell you but unfortunately it is smaller then it used to be. This is generally why when faced with an inferior situation to console gamers, a PC gamer will voice his/her opinion, thinking of a time when PC gaming was the only effective strategy for bugfixing aside from changing within later games. This is also, in part, why PC gamers "flaunt" their exclusive deals/items/products or the superiority of a certain genre in the PC space. The PC gamer is often neglected and is faced with news of games being consistently denied ports to their systems, therefore, when they see an advantage, no matter how small they become vocal about it, trying to shout above the noise that console gamers make comparatively(I mean so far as media coverage/size of communities, I am not implying that console gamers are rowdy/immature)

I would like to note I am honestly not trying to flamebait, I am trying to voice the opinion of a people who are often written off as angry for no reason in a calm and ration fashion.I have been often frustrated with the lack of support a PC game can get, sometimes never getting ports of a second game in a series only to see the third show up years afterwards. Likewise, I see why console gamers can be frustrated by PC gamers, their view makes it seem like PC gamers complain too much and more often then not when a PC gamer states they are a PC gamer they often mention the ability to have frequent patches/free DLC, a luxury the current console infrastructures do not support.

Yet again, I am not trying to flamebait or suggest either is superior or more justified, they are two seperate, yet entirely valid views.
