What everything? And why again do I have to explain to another insulted console user the simple truth - Xbox360 players went on a rage storm after the announcement ME2 would use two discs and swapping - surprise, no longer needed! Story is mostly linear and things that were obviously designed and built (check Escael's thread to see how simple SaveGame editing changes the game and unlocks dozens of cutscenes and conversations in different recruitment orders). So yes, this time it is the 360s fault. Good luck butchering Mass Effect 3, too...

Bioware has stated that any lines that were recorded out of order were due to a decision not yet being made on the order of unlocks, not due to console gamers.

I hope that ME3 is still on the 360, otherwise Microsoft would need to make HDD compatible as well as the way it reads data.

How about you talk about topic of thread so it doesn't get locked?!

Anyway I still claim there is no point of explaining thermal clips since it's just different gameplay system.

It's not like you had to swap the disk a million times I only had to swap it 2 twice once where I first went to Illium and then at the end for the suicide mission what's so hard about opening the tray and putting in the second disk takes less than a minute.

My point exactly. That's why there's a forced pre-determined recruitment order.

If the game had been completely non-linear  in the recruitment order (think Mass Effect's story planets, which could be played in any random order) Xbox 360 users would have had to swap disks continuously.

So, instead of just leaving it as it was (proof - recorded audio files and working unique cutscenes/conversations) and let people deal with the consequences of people choosing their game system, BioWare decided to limit PC players too to ease the Xbox 360's.

You can mod the Xbox version so you can get anyone at anytime granted it's not easy but then again it's not hard but I guess not that many people want to mess around with the Xbox I agree it is a shame it has to be changed for the Xbox version

Consoles don't suck they just don't have the capabilities as the PC

I don't see why you guys are complaining so much. Especially since it is very apparent that they chose the recruitment order that they did so that you would have to wait to see Liara until after Horizon.

And it's not like it being on consoles had anything to do with the rest of the crap that was cut.

The original Caine description makes more sense than the preposterously stupid HUGE RAILGUN explanation for the mushroom cloud.

Oh my god. Somebody needs to compile a list of these hidden unused audio files already.

There's this, Liara's Shadowbroker files (although those'll probably be used soon), alternative dialogue with the Illusive Man (including one where Tali can be recruited right after Freedom's Progress), a cut fight between Grunt and Mordin......what else?

Are you serious? I know that there were DLC audio files (for both "Lair of the Shadow Broker" and "Stolen Memories"), but are the other ones real? Especially Grunt and Mordin arguing, which would have been great?

I am quite serious. It's been mentioned several times on these forums, but no one ever bothers to post em or organize them into 1 thread...which would be full of win, btw.

The Recruit Tali After Freedom's Progress audio file is particularly awesome. The Illusive Man basically states, "Yeah, it's pretty clear that we can trust Tali given her actions on Freedom's Progress. Here's the coordinates to pick her up."

I'm also forgetting about the unused Galactic News files. That makes FIVE categories of unused files that'd be awesome to gather up in 1 glorious thread.

I know there's a special conversation when recruiting Tali if Legion is present, it even comes with functioning interrupts, but Grunt and Mordin is something new to me (although it does makes a lot of sense given the other two squad member grudges). I know Legion was originally supposed to be a very early addition, as well as Tali.

Here's a video as proof (video not mine): Tali meets Legion on Heastrom

Seriously, if it it exist, someone post the Grunt and Mordin conversation.

Well it has been stated that Legion was originally intended to come into the story much earlier, and that he was only molded into the reaper mission towards the end of development, after the lines and face rigging were already finished.

You can still get that scene in the released game.

This Mordin and Grunt stuff I never heard of until this thread, but as soon as I finished the game I thought that would have been a good argument and I really want to hear that audio now...

Well, the Cain codex entry likely meant the Cain might've been designed as a Railgun rather than a Nuke Launcher to begin with, but was changed, and thus, Codex scrapped. As for the Drell entry...there's no evidence stating that it's NOT bacterially related. Simply because it's non-communicable among other Drell doesn't mean some form of microorganism isn't involved.

Also, the thermal clips and Grenade launcher entry sound fine. Maybe people would stop complaining about the clips if the darn codex entry was present.

"Lazers make superior weapons!" :P

This voice actor worked on C&C Generals. He did a great job in ME and ME2.

I am thoroughly convinced I paid $60 dollars for 40% of what Mass Effect 2 was supposed to be. So much cut content and I don't mean the codex entries. Let's hope for Mass Effect 3 we get the whole thing.

Er, no it's not.  Check your Codex.  You'll find entries for the Collector Particle Beam, the M-622 Avalanche, the ML-77 Missile Launcher, and no other heavy weapons.
