No.
Hawke can also be female.
This idea needs to die.

How old is Hawke when we first meet him/her?
I'm pretty sure the characters begin the game as adults.

So the DudeHawke is going to have his awful beard from the start?
Bleh!
Do not insult the beard.
I hear it detaches from Hawke's face during the night and commits heinous crimes.

Just a quick shave at character creation and you're good to go!

DA2 won't have any char creation, silly... It's just an action packed hack'n'slash!
Oh, good. That whole character creation and class things was all too confusing and complicated for me.

No, because it would be unfeasible to make him a child as DA2 spans 10 years, you don't play Hawke 10 years after DA:O. He will be 18 around that time most likely.

That's far too complicated for me, why can't they just invent a game where you don't have to do anything after you have you have inserted the disc, just watch the game through from the start to the end credits and enjoy the story without the chore of having to make the little fella do everything.

They have. It's called a movie.

Ugh, but many of those "movies" from discs (dvds or blurays) still involve pressing Play. Way too tedious if you ask me.

the worst thing is that they include pressing pause if you have to go to the toilet. they are supposed to KNOW that i have to, pause automatically and give me the time necessary to fulfill my world impacting mission.

I dont think Hawke is actualy in Lothering at all during teh first game from a "Who is he in Origens" standpoint. Maybe hes in one of the houses you cant enter?
